Lil Durk Knows He Slayed On 2021’s 2 Biggest Albums

Chicago rapper Lil Durk is making sure people know yesterday’s price is not the same as today’s price - at all. The hip-hop star has come forward to toot his own horn about glowing up in 2021 - notably for appearing on two of the biggest albums of the year.

Lil Durk Knows He Slayed On 2021’s Biggest Album

Durkio hit up his Instagram page to share a reflection on appearing on both longtime pal Drake’s Certified Lover Boy and fellow Chi-Town native Kanye West’s Donda albums. LD shared a slideshow of pics and his caption reaffirms he’s not your average Midwest rapper.

“Ask my b*tch I was a CLB before it was a DONDA..”

Kanye West Is Still No. 1 Whether Drake Likes It Or Not

OVO Sound boss Drake might be a Certified Lover Boy but he’s not the top global artist in the game right now. His on-again, off-again mentor and idol Kanye West recently held down the crown as the top Global Digital Artist.

According to late September 2021 reports, the artist formerly known as Kanye West - simply going by ‘Ye’ these days - was the top global artist in the digital sphere. We’re not just talking hip-hop, this includes all genres.

Drake Is Still Selling Big

But don’t feel too bad for Drake. He still managed to secure a Top 5 spot in the rundown - notably the No. 4 position in-between Ed Sheeran and Doja Cat. What’s even more exciting is just how well his Certified Lover Boy album has performed..

After moving an astronomical 633K in its first week, it looks like Drake's sixth studio album will remain at the top of the chart for a second week in a row. According to HitsDailyDouble, Drake's Certified Lover Boy has sold another 233K in its second week which pushes the albums streaming numbers towards one billion across all DSPs.  (HNHH)

Kanye West Drops Nearly $60 Million On Dream Home

Whether it’s topping the Global Artist list or competing to have the top album in the country, Ye is living the G.O.O.D life to say the least. Recent reports claimed he dropped $57.25 million on an epic-looking Malibu, California dream home.

And although the 3,665-square-foot, concrete-heavy house is designed by award-winning starchitect Tadao Ando, it wasn’t impressing the social media masses when Dirt.com broke the news Sunday night.  “Kanye living in a parking garage,” one wrote on Zillow Gone Wild’s Instagram page Monday morning.  “He loves the abandoned clinic look,” wrote another commenter, while a third added, “Looks like a high-end bunker for a cult leader.” (New York Post)
