Glasshouse Entertainment: The first-ever annual Curbside Urban Festival is going down this summer

Want to turn up before the summer fully wraps up? Lean on what Glasshouse Entertainment are putting together this September with its inaugural launch of the three-day Curbside Urban Festival celebration.

It’s going down in early September and slated to have a line-up of musicians, local heroes and all types of power players for a festival loaded with all types of different activities and experiences.

Glasshouse Entertainment is proud to announce the first annual Curbside Urban Festival taking place at the Adelanto Plaza & Event Center multi-purpose stadium located in Adelanto, California. The three-day festival, MC’d by Dr. Robert Ornelas Battle Ax (Frontman for The S.O.G. Crew Hip-Hop) will take place from Friday, September 6, through Sunday, September 8, 2024 and offers free admission and meals, which will be provided before every segment of the Festival!

Dr. Abel Razo, the Senior Pastor of Curbside Community Church in Adelanto, first had the idea for the festival in 2020, but was cut short due to the COVID-19 outbreak. Razo’s plan was to commemorate the 9/11 tragedy by honoring our countrymen who lost their lives at the Twin Towers in New York City on September 11, 2001, and the families that they left behind. Dr. Razo has now partnered with Glasshouse Entertainment, local governments, first responders, National speakers, renowned music artists, the Native American community, Hall of Fame Skaters, United States veterans, local California High Desert businesses, school districts, partners, advocates, volunteers, international leaders, and concerned citizens who want a transformation for their local High Desert community.

Adelanto City Councilwoman, the honorable Amanda Uptergrove, will be hosting a 9/11 memorial on Saturday, September 7, 2024, at 9 AM on the field of the Adelanto Stadium. The Memorial will feature the local Adelanto High School Marching Band, National Anthem singer Charity Reyes, Adelanto Mayor Gabriel Reyes, United States Veteran Paul Marsh, the office of San Bernardino Supervisor Colonel Paul Cook, Adelanto Mayor Pro Tem Daniel Ramos, Blue Star Families, American Gold Star Mothers, first responders, and more.

The Festival will transition from an honoring service to a community celebration jubilee for the entire family hosted by Glasshouse Entertainment. The Festival will showcase the arts, music, powerful messages, skateboard exhibitions, workshops, glow parties, advocacies, vendors, recovery information, Native American Gathering, and a carnival atmosphere for all members of the family to enjoy.

On display will be a diverse range of musical experiences showcasing Spanish music, oldies, pop, alternative rock, country, hip-hop, and worship music. In addition, there will be panels of speakers throughout, who are experts in community advocacy and prison chaplaincy with motivating and inspiring messages for the crowd.

Other festival events include a workshop about Christians in Politics led by City Councilwoman Amanda Uptergrove, and Tribal Gathering hosted by Dr. Ralph Dee Jr. There will also be a scholarship given to the student who writes the best essay about their experience feeding the homeless, reaching out to the community, or the advocacy they are passionate about. The deadline for submission is Friday, August 30, 2024. curbsidecc@gmail.com
