Red Bull Culture Clash's LA line-up announced after 10-year gap

10 years is a long time so of course Red Bull Culture Clash is coming through strong in Los Angeles with its official line-up for the June 24 four-crew face-off. Everyone from Tony Touch and DJ Playero are set to pull through with performances and get the in-attendance folks completely turned up.

Red Bull Culture Clash, the innovative live music experience featuring four opposing crews on four separate stages, is excited to announce official details for its return to Los Angeles - after a decade away. Coming June 24th to the Shrine Expo Hall, Red Bull Culture Clash Los Angeles will bring a once-in-a-lifetime music experience to attendees to highlight the Latinx musical and cultural diaspora across styles like reggaeton, global bass and hip-hop, in one of the largest U.S. clashes yet. Fans can expect performances from Tony Touch, Sky Rompiendo, Ape DrumsLos Rakas, Álvaro DÍaz, DJ Playero, DJ Blass, and the return of the legendary reggaeton duo, Luny Tunes, among others.

Red Bull Culture Clash Los Angeles will bring together four of the West Coast’s biggest party crews - Gasolina, The Do-Over, Subsueloand Recreo - who are each given the freedom to take over a corner of the venue and face off for a four-round bout, bringing big sound, heavy tunes, fierce competition and an exciting roster of special guests, all in an effort to outshine their competition and win over the crowd – because at Red Bull Culture Clash, the crowd decides who reigns supreme.

Alongside Red Bull Culture Clash Los Angeles, Shop Latinx will create a unique shopping experience highlighting the passionate and talented Latinx creatives in the world of fashion. Positioned inside the venue, this experience will celebrate a community moment featuring a one-of-a-kind marketplace.

Drawing a sold-out crowd when it last took place stateside in Atlanta in 2018, Red Bull Culture Clash aims to showcase each host city’s unique musical and cultural offerings across its past, present and future. Inspired by Jamaican sound system culture, Red Bull Culture Clash features head-to-head performances from four crews over four distinct rounds. Red Bull Culture Clash Los Angeles will follow Red Bull Culture Clash New York, which takes place May 19 at Warsaw.

WHO – CREWS AND ARTISTS:

GASOLINAGasolina, originally started at Belasco Theater in Downtown Los Angeles, is a community for Reggaeton & Latin music fans - consistently pushing the culture forward. The group has grown to be the largest reggaeton party in the United States, bringing over 1,500+ attendees to iconic venues across the country.

Featuring: Luny Tunes, DJ Playero, DJ Blass, Oplus

THE DO-OVER: Established in 2005 in Los Angeles, the magical tropical daytime get-down has spread its fun-loving funky sounds across the world with a philosophy of keeping all guest DJ’s a mystery encouraging attendees to leave all hype and expectations at home. Expect the unexpected - from disco to dancehall, house to hip-hop, soul to samba.

SUBSUELOSubsuelo is a Los Angeles global bass crew, founded in 2011, that experiments with futuristic dance parties and old-school tropical music. The group started as a house party bringing cumbia, hip-hop, salsa, house, reggaeton, dancehall, baile funk, kuduro and all kinds of global bass variations to life for local communities and friends. Along with the DJs, Subsuelo also features a live flamenco band that performs traditional cante jondo and experiments with genre-bending fusions and collaborations. The group has performed at top music festivals including Coachella, Boiler Room at the MoMA in New York City, Manana & Musicabana in Cuba, Supersonico in Los Angeles, Genius Loci in Mexico, Joshua Tree Music Festival, Northern Nights, Boogaloo and more.

RECREOCreated in 2020 by J Balvin’s Creative Director and founder of Broke Kids Music Label, DJ Milkman, Recreo’s presence in the music and party scene expands across North America and Europe, including Los Angeles, New York City, Mexico City, Las Vegas, Chicago and most recently at SXSW in Austin, Texas. Although new to the scene, Recreo is looking to take the title at Red Bull Culture Clash Los Angeles this June.
