The Sims 4: Winnie Harlow's helping welcome in-game Vitiligo skin feature

Could you use even more reasons to embrace The Sims 4 and vixen Winnie Harlow? How about the fact both powerhouses have teamed up to introduce in-game Vitiligo skin features with your characters?

It’s all about keeping the game relevant and as realistic as possible. The massive collaboration is game-changing and only enhances the realism of the Sims world.

The Sims 4 will introduce the game’s Vitiligo skin feature, furthering its effort to deliver content that authentically and respectfully mirrors the diversity of its millions of players.

Developers took extra care with this (Sims Delivery Express) update, which can appear in Sims of all ages. Players can choose patches for their Sim’s face, upper torso, lower torso, arms, and legs. And, patterns range across different levels of coverage and symmetry.

The Sims 4 is collaborating with supermodel and beauty entrepreneur Winnie Harlow to help unveil the update. The vitiligo spokesperson played The Sims growing up and understands how impactful it is to see a Sim that looks like her. She’s not alone, as this update was highly requested by the Sims Community.

Winnie will show players how she expresses herself in The Sims 4 via original content, including a Simified version of her Hollywood “dream” home. As part of the SDX, fans can also download and play with a Winnie-inspired Sim. She shared:

“It’s magical to see The Sims 4 team introduce this new Vitiligo feature. As a child, I spent a lot of time playing The Sims and I think it’s so beautiful to be able to represent your true self in-game. This partnership is a powerful statement encouraging players to embrace what makes them unique – both in-game and in real life.”
