Topps Series 1: MLB superstar Ronald Acuna Jr. ignites the 2024 trading card sets

Remember when everyone thought digital was going to fully takeover? There’s some things which are just better than NFTs like the iconic Topps Series 1 training cards. How about MLB superstar Ronald Acuna Jr. leading the pack - literally - too? Say less.

It’s all in the details and imagery, of course. Tap in.

Today, Topps’ flagship MLB product – Series 1 – hits hobby shops and retail stores across the country. This year’s product is headlined by reigning National League MVP Ronald Acuna Jr. as the cover star on both the boxes and packs.

Unlike the Madden curse, each of the past three Topps Series 1 cover stars (Julio Rodriguez, Shohei Ohtani, and Juan Soto) have gone on to compile career-highs in multiple stats the following season.

Topps Series 1 will feature the league’s current stars, greats from the past and rising rookies – all featured on base cards, inserts, as well as autograph and relic cards. Each hobby box includes 20 packs with twelve cards per pack, and one guaranteed autograph or relic card.

This year’s Topps Series 1 set was designed by Robert Grape, drawing inspiration from the 1989 Topps Baseball Series 1 as we reach its 35th anniversary, and features a neon border in team color, with black gradient smoke and team names.

In addition to hobby shops and retail stores around the country, Topps Series 1 is also available at www.topps.com. Join the conversation @Topps on Twitter/X and Instagram using #ToppsSeriesOne.
