Three Thousand Years Of Longing is a Date Night movie in the best way

There are times when you have a certain feeling about a movie and then those expectations are completely exceeded. This is exactly the case with George Miller’s Three Thousand Years Of Longing movie which is hands down one of the best Date Night-approved movies I have co-signed in what feels like a while.

Truthfully speaking? I did mention Bullet Train is a no-brainer perfect Date Night movie but if you’re looking for less action, more storytelling and pretty much an adult version of a genie and mythology film, this is it.

For starters, you’re dealing with amazing talent in the form of both Tilda Swinton and the beyond belief superb acting of Idris Elba. There are going to be a few confusing but interesting points and ample moments where you are just lost in awesomeness courtesy of what appears on the screen.

The beauty of the cinema. George Miller’s directing. The connection between Idris and Tilda’s characters. It all mixes in well and while this sneak peek clip is great, it truly only gives a glimpse of what you should expect from the movie.

If you’re watched ‘American Gods’ and appreciated it, then Three Thousand Years Of Longing is an absolute must-see for a Date Night. It’s unique enough to have a more educated and respectful crowd of moviegoers in the theater with you but also mainstream enough courtesy of the casting to not feel like it went too much into the indie field and gives the stars ample content to work with on-screen.

Pleasantly surprised and excited to see this film again but even more excitingly own it once it’s up for grabs as a Digital HD - fingers crossed on the 4K HDR option - in the Apple TV store.

Verdict: Date Night Approved
