Manmade: It's life-changing goals with the boxers and t-shirt bundle pack
Keeping it 100? I am loyal when it comes to my undergarments. I mean, I’ve rocked with Hanes dating back to the Michael Jordan classic commercial days and when it comes to the boxers, it’s remained the same since high school - well, brand-wise, of course. But life-changing and game-changing at the same time? Grown and sexy Attackers alike - I proudly announce I’m going all in on Manmade for the brand’s boxers and t-shirt gear.
In most cases, I look at undergarments like oil changes. You’ll have a solid run but you know you’re ultimately going to be due for a change-up inevitably. Getting my hands on this Manmade material? Holy smokes. I have to give a massive shout-out to the Manmade team and especially co-founder Anthony for holding me down with the above and below fit flex. If Hanes is Panda Express, then Manmade is Nobu with Kim Kardashian dining on one side of me and Odell Beckham Jr. on the other side. Life-changing.
I wish I could really dig deep into just how epic this undershirt and boxer briefs really are. You’ll notice from the moment you get your hands on a set, the quality is top notch and instant comfort. If there’s one thing you want no matter the season, it’s comfort. These hit the spot - immediately. But before I let loose on my signature editorial talk-talk, let’s highlight what Manmade prides itself in:
Manmade’s bundle includes 2 of our Dragons’ Den-featured Boxer Briefs alongside our staple T-Shirt which are:
Moisture-Wicking: Manmade’s boxers, crafted from solely modal, offer superior moisture-wicking, fast-drying properties, and are 3x softer yet just as breathable than cotton. The T-shirt’s blend of modal and pima cotton keeps you cool and fresh while resisting wrinkles.
Fit for All: Fit for All: Our boxers are available in sizes up to 3XL and provide ergonomic support. The T-shirt flatters all body types with a fit that’s snug around the arms and chest, with a longer and looser cut around the midsection for added comfort and coverage.
Versatile for Everyday Wear: Dressed up or down, our simplistic colorways and function-first design make this bundle the ultimate summer essential.
While you might not think Manmade is going to reinvent the wheel, the brand is out there applying wax, moisturizer and chrome to an ancient wheel to give you the bare bones needs you come to expect from underwear and undershirts while also igniting insane comfort, quality and overall grown man glowing.
A key factor for why this is such a game-changer for myself is because I’m all about longevity. The price point - at first - can throw you off, I mean, you think about how many meals you can get at Panda Express for $77 versus the top notch experience you can get from a couple items off of the Nobu menu for $77? There’s really no comparison.
Do you ever have the cringe feeling of walking past first class seats on an airplane and while you keep your head high knowing you saved a grip with Economy seats, you low-key in your mind fantasize about the first class experience?
THIS. IS. IT.
Simply said. The amount of comfort and durability I experience with Manmade? I mean, it goes directly with what the founders believe in and are pushing for Attackers globally:
We’re 4 long-time friends that had issues with our underwear, so we spent over 10 months developing the perfect boxer brief for men. We've tirelessly sifted through thousands of hours of research, and we know
exactly what men want out of their boxer briefs. You want to feel cool and comfortable all day long. Experience less friction on your family jewels and thighs. Have quick access when it's time to pay the water bill. Enjoy an ultra-soft waistband that doesn't
cause irritation.Well look no further, The Boxer Brief was made for you.
I’m still blown away by the simplicity yet high-end experience and overall presentation of Manmade. The concept is simple but really geared toward making sure every part of your torso is considered. The durability and knowing these are going to last you more than just a few months but with careful wash and care, you’re in for quite the journey assuring you a few purchases of Manmade will have you in line for years versus rips and tears in your current undergarments.
Manmade, I’m a proud family member and it’s an honor to leave my Hanes on ‘read’ and rock out with your line-ups. Next up, socks? I’m low-key ready for the next adventure.
When you’re ready to make the plunge and see what Manmade has to offer, head over to their site and stay on the lookout toward the top of their site for promotions and discounts, too.

Tommy Chong: The 'Cheech & Chong' legend himself talks new 'Call of Duty' partnership, gaming goals making life better and how the pyramids were really made (Exclusive)
Mind blown, much? Say less. It’s an interview to remember when the iconic Tommy Chong from Cheech & Chong takes the time to link up with Attack The Culture dishing on everything from why in the world it made sense for everyone’s favorite smoking buds to link with Call of Duty on a new tracer pack drop to how much playing games can make your life even better.
Needless to say? Mind-blowing types of moments - and you know I’m blown away when the legend I’m talking to has me keeping quiet and embracing all the knowledge. As always, peep some of the highlights and keep scrolling to check out the full Q&A with Tommy.
There are only 3,000 questions to ask you so I will start with 1 and we’ll be done by next week, OK? Long after Smoke Day. No - honestly, thank-you for making the time for myself and Attack The Culture - with Call of Duty, prior to getting the partnership going - what did you know about Call of Duty and now that you’ve done about 3,000 interviews, what do you wish you didn’t know about Call of Duty now? [laughs]
Tommy Chong: Well, there’s been a fascination with guns with the human race ever since there were guns. Ever since the beginning and before that it was a rock and a stick. You always had a weapon in your hand because that’s civilization. You had to either go get something or protect something from somebody getting your stuff.
Growing up as a kid, I grew up with a six-shooter. The cowboys and Indians and believe it or not, whenever we played I was usually an Indian. Then I found out I have 8 percent Native in me. So my whole life, it’s always been a ‘Go get ‘em, shoot ‘em down.’ It was always make believe.
Back in the days when we were playing shoot ‘em ups with the kids, the way that they got around the violence was they always shot the guns at the hands of the bad guys. So you never killed anybody. You just shot them [in the hand] or you winged them. I grew up like that.
So when the gaming industry started - and actually before that when I was 13, I joined army cadets because my brother joined and he was 3 years older than me and so in army cadets in Canada, you got to play with the real weapons and you got to wear the real uniform and got to do the real war games.
At 13 years old, I’m riding around in a tank and by the way, it wasn’t that comfortable. I made the mistake of getting halfway up the manhole and we hit a bump and I got banged from one side to the other. I got some scars from that experience. But playing war, it was part of my childhood and every kid’s childhood across the globe because it’s something we’ve always had and always will have apparently.
By making it a game - it’s the future. We’re here in the future. No one has to get hurt. Except you might wear out your finger or you might get accused of being addicted to the process. You can get addicted to breathing, so, I think my experience with that whole approach is normal.
A lot of pacifists like to pretend that these things don’t really happen but it’s part of our life and it’s part of our DNA and it’s part of our karma to go through it and I think it’s healthy in a lot of ways.
If that brings out the killer instinct in some of us, that’s part of life. You can get hit by a landslide or tsunami or toilet waste falling out of the sky, you know? There’s so many things because we live in a physical world. So what can I say?
Tommy, one thing that I really want to bring up and really get your take on is how much entertainment we get out of video games and Call of Duty. I’m not a smoker - I’m also not a gun-totting New Yorker but some of my favorite movies, Up In Smoke, How High with Method Man and Redman. I’m not a gunman, I’ve never been to a firing range but I’m addicted to Call of Duty and it’s so easy for the critics to say there’s guns and it represents violence - hone in on the entertainment aspect of what Cheech & Chong bring to Call of Duty.
Tommy Chong: It does all of what you just said. It improves your reflexes when you’re playing. The hand and body and eye coordination. You’re constantly doing that. I’ve got people in my family, my little granddaughter, she’s more adapt at the iPad than I am and she’s 3 years old and she’ll take my iPad, flip it up and get her favorite shows and everything else.
It’s done so much to help everyone, especially children, get that eye and hand coordination going. Being able to use their hands and minds for the reflexes, I’ve got friends that are proud they are computer illiterate. They’re actually proud. I’m not proud of it. I actually am computer illiterate because of my eyes and ears and my age, a great part, but I understand and I appreciate what’s going on in the world.
I study my grandkids because I have the time. I’m a grandpa. I don’t have to change the diapers or anything. I can sit there and study them and I watch them and I watch my little granddaughter have her tantrums and go through all those things but to see how the iPad and the games for the children, how that calms them down.
What you’ve done, with these video games, you’ve excited the senses. You’ve got the hand and eye coordination going and you are promoting self-awareness to the littlest ones.
My little 4 year old, she’s going to be a powerhouse in this world. She’ll always have knowledge because she knows where to go to get knowledge. This new generation is going to be - look what they got, man. In their hands with the cellphones, there’s a religious song, ‘He’s got the whole world in his hands.’ They’re talking about God - well, literally, we’ve got the whole universe in our hands.
We can sit there. We can see a star, go into our phone and point it at it and it’ll tell you which star you’re looking at. I mean, come on.
Need more Chong? Say less. The legend himself doesn’t hold back and drops ample knowledge for nearly 30 minutes.

WWE 2K24: The takeover is happening today all over Attack The Culture for the must-play game
Just keeping things completely honest? The folks over at 2K are beyond amazing and my goodness - having the chance to load up both the WWE 2K24 Deluxe Edition and Forty Years of WrestleMania Edition titles ahead of today’s launch day? Beyond amazing - thank-you, thank-you, thank-you.

With the thank-you’s fully secured, it’s definitely vital to keep things 100 on the new WWE 2K24. It’s beyond stunning. My goodness - if you’re the type of person who has become accustomed to how well-polished 2K is with their titles - whether we’re talking about PGA 2K23 or NBA 2K24, then you already know the quality alone is going to blow any potential competition away - easily. So getting to the opening sequence of WWE 2K24 and seeing just how crisp the presentation is in respect to both the real-life footage and digital quality? I mean, the photos don’t lie.
I mean, seriously - just looking above? It’s insane. The below screen being the actual gameplay and the above being a WWE NXT broadcast? Freaking insane. And to be clear - I have had the luxury of trying out both editions on the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S and it’s a no-brainer - both platforms deliver the quality you have come to love and expect.
But more than anything, as much as I love the graphics and smooth display, there are the tidbits you loyal WWE 2K gamers are looking for - so let’s get the tidbits in place:

Oh yes - I’m here for it all. But my goodness, just getting a full four days of gameplay in I have hardly scratched the surface. While some of you might be the daily type of WWE 2K gamer, I’ve always been the type to engage in the tutorials and trying out new styles and moves - so definitely recommended just to make sure you’re up on all the latest and greatest WWE 2K24 has to offer.
Another reason to lose your mind over the new release? The freaking jam-packed roster. When you’re talking about 40 years of WrestleMania, you’re talking about some epic wrestlers of past, present and future. The roster doesn’t hold back - at all:

Holy. Smokes.

Holy. Smokes.
From talking about the correct pronunciation of her on-screen alias to learning what Rocky Mountain Oysters are and why she traded in a life as a full-fledged nurse to heal both lonely and sexually activated couples around the globe with her eye-opening camera glow-ups - it is an absolute pleasure to welcome my Nike Blazers twin to both Attack The Culture and Adult The Capture.
As always, check out some highlights from the conversation below and keep scrolling to see the full-fledged Mandy Rhea video interview.
I definitely want to hone in on the Colorado roots. Sterling, Colorado - it’s about two hours from Denver, or somewhere around there, right?
Mandy Rhea: It is. Think of a teeny tiny town. My graduating class was eight kids. [laughs] The entire class. My school that I went to was called Caliche and it’s in Iliff, Colorado. On one side you had a field and the other side you had a feed lot.
Was Denver pretty much how New York City is for me? I think when people think of Colorado, they think about the Rocky Mountains and they also think about Denver. So what was Denver like for you just in comparison.
Mandy Rhea: I competed in dance quite often so going to Denver was like an every week thing. It was a painful drive because it’s two hours one way. When you think of Sterling, Sidney, Nebraska is about 15 minutes northeast and then Kansas is about 30 minutes. So the armpit of the state is where I grew up.
I know things have changed. How long were you last in Colorado because I know you’ve been in Florida the past few years.
Mandy Rhea. Mm-hmm. Four years. I’ve been here for four years.
Gotcha. Give me an idea of what that culture shock was for you.
Mandy Rhea: I would say my hardest is not having my livestock. I’m a farm girl, through and through. I’m looking at buying property so I can have a farm again. I will never grow out of my country roots. Trying to adjust to, Florida has no fucks given. They don't care what your last name is.
They don’t care what you wear, what you look like. I really like that because where I grew up, it mattered what your last name was and it didn’t help that my last name was very well-known and then my ex-husband’s last name was very well-known.
So growing up and constantly always being under the microscope, and everything like that, it was difficult. That was probably my favorite thing about Florida.
And I love the beach. I love the beach.
Four years in, do you feel like you’ve discovered all Florida has to offer?
Mandy Rhea: Nope. Every single year, me and my son make a trip to a new kayak spring. So we love to kayak. We go to new kayak places every year. We have our favorites but we go to new ones and there’s just so much culture down here. From back in the day to the spiritual world. You have a little bit of everything.
I love it.
How do you pick and choose where you’re going to go? Is it a Google search? Word of mouth? Or does your son say, ‘Mom, we’re going here. Let’s make it happen.’
Mandy Rhea: Actually, we had a couple of friends that lived in Lakeland. We originally started in Lakeland and then from there I was like this is too far a drive from the beach. Mind you it’s an hour, an hour fifteen. And then that’s how I ended up in Tampa. I love Tampa.
Nike Blazers. They’re my favorite sneakers. I’m addicted to them. When did you fall in love with the Blazers brand, Mandy?
Mandy Rhea: Probably about a year ago. Both me and my son love Blazers. We have multiple pairs in our house. I just keep them really clean. I have a black pair. My son has a black pair and stuff like that. So when we’re at the track we’ll wear the black ones but I like them clean. I’m a little OCD when it comes to cleanliness.
Were you born to MILF? You just seem like you entered the industry and when there’s a MILF discussion, your name is right there. You’re branded as such. Hottest MILF awards and all that - your name is right there. Who else is up there - three other ladies - you feel might be your competition and your peer on MILF Rushmore.
Mandy Rhea: There’s so many. I worked with Jennifer White and she was phenomenal. I love working with her. I feel like I need to get up on her level because she was up for so many awards and then you always have Reagan Foxx and Brandi Love and Sophie Marie. They’re the next step.
I will get there.
For anyone just now getting across you and they’re like, ‘Oh my gosh. I’ve got to do my homework on Mandy.’ Where do they start at? Do they go to the latest stuff or on the studios you’ve shot for, is there maybe a masterpiece or one shoot you really want people to see?
Mandy Rhea: It’s actually funny. One of my most viewed videos is actually with Jonny Love. It was like my fourth video and everybody, I get numerous comments of ‘That’s your best video.’ And I’m like, ‘I looked awful. I was so bad.’ [laughs] I was still so nervous behind the screen but people love it.
And then there’s a couple that are good but you can kind of see the transformation of me at the very beginning to me now of how much I’ve grown within myself.
Give me an idea of what makes you so reliable and amazing?
Mandy Rhea: One being I’m easy to work with. Two being I come to work to work. It’s not a social. It’s not a party. It’s not an anything else. I think a lot of that comes from me being a mom who has the nursing background. When I come to work, it’s for work.
I know a lot of people are like, ‘You’ve got to socialize.’ And that’s great but if I have a Friday off, I would much rather spend it with my kid than going to the bar. Because going to the bar with a whole bunch of performers isn’t going to advance me.
Want to know if Mandy Rhea’s done getting tattoos? How about her love for German Shepherd dogs and how many she’s had? Jump right into this full-fledged Q&A with the mind-blowing, eye-opening vixen.

With a must-see TeamSkeet ‘Black Friday Part Two’ scene on deck to premiere Wednesday, November 22, it’s only right the Double Q comes through for an absolutely unforgettable Attack The Culture exclusive conversation. Tap in.
How do you introduce yourself, Chanel?
Chanel Camryn: Well, everyone calls me the ‘Quiver Queen.’ So I kind of just come in with that. Like, straight up. I’m Chanel Camryn, the Quiver Queen. [laughs]
I gotcha. I gotcha. I saw that on IG. I don’t want to kind of start the conversation like, ‘Why do they call you Quiver Queen,’ because I think it’s kind of self-explanatory but I feel like you should kind of brag about it. You’re not the Quiver Princess. You’re specifically Quiver Queen. So I think if you’re going to have that title, you’re going to have to brag about it for a second.
Chanel Camryn: [laughs] When I first got in, I had no idea the way that I came was odd or not common. I also didn’t understand that all girls didn’t come when they had sex every time. I was just having these seizure-like orgasms with all these male talents and they were freaking out like, ‘Is this girl OK?’ I have had a few male talents call cut because they thought I was having a seizure.
My fans, first they started with ‘Human Vibrator.’ But that didn’t really stick. And then there were a few other names that circulated but then I had fans start calling me the Quiver Queen and that one stuck. I was like, ‘I’m keeping that one.’ [laughs]
Let’s kind of dig into your Florida roots and then obviously around your teenage years, 13, 14, you pack up and go to Alaska. First and foremost, do you claim Florida more or Alaska more? Alaska seems a little bit more exciting.
Chanel Camryn: It’s kind of half and half really. So I don’t know what to claim. I’m technically from Florida but I got into porn from Alaska. So I’m both. I moved there literally when I was 13 and I was halfway through my growing up and then I left when I was 20. So I spent a decent amount of time in each area.
My life in Florida was very different from the life I had in Alaska, obviously. I feel like the biggest part besides the weather and the environment and the culture difference between the states was my place in life. When I lived in Florida, I was poor. I was very dirt poor.
My family was very ghetto. It was a lot of dangerous shit happening. I lived in a very bad area. I would have drive-by shootings all the time and there were gangs in the area. It was just normal for me. [laughs]
So I’m from Duval County and most people who are familiar [laughs] - my mom’s motivation for moving us was my sister was growing up, she had just been born and was going to school. We didn’t want to raise her in that environment and I can remember countless times I almost got kidnapped or school fights and gang activity. Just things that were very dangerous. I’m surprised I survived.
A lot of the kids I grew up with are no longer here with us. So to leave and see everybody I grew up with kind of go down the wrong path, I’m very thankful that my mom was able to get me to Alaska.
It was a very hard struggle. We had nothing. She literally took a job, flew up there, worked for three or four months and would send us money and we all moved there. It wasn’t easy. When we got there, we lived in a motel, one room, the four of us.
I went to high school like that. I rode the bus everyday. Also, we moved to a very, I wouldn't say remote because there is a road but it was a very rural part of Alaska. The town was a mile long and the population was probably under 3,000 and that’s about a 30 mile radius. It was a very small town and my graduating class was about 30 kids.
I got bullied being the new kid who lives in the motel.
I had this question a little bit later in the conversation but you kind of answered it. I wanted to say, looking at your catalogue, 2022, 2023, I was going to ask, where does the work grind come from? Where does all that hustle and grind come from? You kind of answered it. You are working so hard because you know what you’ve been through and it’s interesting because you’ll see people who kind of get that spark that you’ve had and it kind of goes down a little bit.
You’ve been on a non-stop, like, ‘I’m in this culture. I’m in this genre. I’m not slowing down at all.’
Chanel Camryn: It really goes back to my work ethic and my mom. She worked multiple jobs when I was a kid and my dad had health issues and had trouble holding down a job. I just watched my mom. It gave me the motivation to be like, I might not have been given the greatest deck of cards but I’m sure going to turn them into the deck that I want.
Before I got into porn, I was the same way. When I got into nursing, I used to work seven days a week. I would work 12 to 15, 16-hour shifts. I always had multiple jobs. Getting into porn, it was like, ‘This is a lot easier than working 12 hours on my feet taking care of patients.’ Of course I’m going to work fucking hard.
I’m giving myself five or six years of just hammering things out in the industry before I decide to kind of rest a little bit and take a step back.
I think I’ll always be working, I just think I’ll definitely slow down, just not yet.
Are there a couple things TeamSkeet’s doing that you wished other networks you work with would apply to what they’re doing?
Chanel Camryn: For them, they really pay attention to the performer. For instance, when they created my scenes, they really paid attention to what I was good at and what I’m able to do and I could tell that they put that into my scenes.
I’ve done scenes for other companies that were supposed to be about me and it didn’t feel like it was screaming Chanel, it just felt like Chanel in a role.
TeamSkeet makes content that feels like it’s curated for me to showcase me. That was a very good feeling. I think with TeamSkeet, they do a very good job at connecting with the performers, keeping in touch with the performers, I’ve had a close relationship with a lot of the people over there.
From the social media manager to the people doing merch, some of the people at the company, they’re very good, they’re very communities and anything I’ve ever asked for, they’ve always been on top of.
I just think that’s where they do really well. They pay attention to us whereas some other companies don’t as much necessarily.
For people who are just getting put onto you like, ‘Chanel Camryn, who is this?’ Do you prefer people to start with one or two specific scenes on TeamSkeet, or is it like pick and choose any scene?
Chanel Camryn: Oh my God. I honestly don’t think there’s any scene I did for TeamSkeet that I didn’t like. [laughs] So you’re pretty much safe to start with whatever. I know they have a lot of other sister sites so it’s based on your subscription depends on what you’ll see.
I’ve pretty much shot for all of their sites, so if you want to start, just pick something you like, a genre you like and I’m sure you can find me in that category.
Chanel Camryn doesn’t hold back in this full-fledged interview dishing on an unforgettable TeamSkeet ‘Shoplyfter’ incident, predicting how long her adult career will go and admitting she’s all for Netflix goals. Kick back and embrace the full interview both above and below.

Mind. Freaking. Blown. Keeping it 100? Every single interview I push for is always set to 15 minutes and I swear on everything they always go well into overtime. Getting the opportunity to talk to the mind-blowing and jaw-dropping vixen Sophia Locke about everything from her game-changing MYLF/TeamSkeet content - including her newest ‘Mom Swap’ scene ‘HomeSchool Sex Ed’ alongside co-star Cory Chase - and real hair color to coming back from a five-year hiatus a.k.a. retirement and embracing the adult culture - this exclusive is one for the record books.
To say Sophia Locke is cool is actually borderline offensive. She’s easily one of the most awesome and fun-going people I have had the pleasure of clocking in 30-plus minutes with in a conversation setting. A note to any and all future folks down for an interview, this is 100 percent how to step up when the world is ready to learn about you. The energy SL a.k.a. my ‘85 twin brought from start to finish? I went from admiring her to being on the brink of joining her OnlyFans and making my own personal TeamSkeet/MYLF scene requests (Perv Principal, pervy please) - it’s an absolute pleasure to give you a taste of our conversation below and of course the full-length adventure is further down. Kick back, relax and enjoy getting your mind blown from the beautiful Sophia Locke.
So many things for you to answer, Sophia, but most importantly, what is the best time zone? Eastern Standard Time or Pacific Standard Time? What’s the best time zone?
Sophia Locke: This is Pacific. I love Pacific.
Yes, but I feel like on the East Coast, everybody kind of operates off of Eastern Standard time zones, right? No?
Sophia Locke: Sure, I guess. I lived in New York when I was 18. It was cool.
Get out of here! I can’t even ask you any other questions other than how was it, did you ever eat bagels in the morning? Were you having the little blue coffees? Give me an idea of what that life was like at 18 in New York City?
Sophia Locke: So I went to collage at Hunter for a year. So I felt invincible even though I was not. I was a baby but you have all that confidence at 18 and it was really, really fun. I liked just how fast everyone moved and everyone had somewhere to be and the music in the subways was pretty cool too.
Was this just a one-year and you got out of there immediately or did you stick around for a little bit and were like, ‘Pacific Standard Time, this is what I want.’
Sophia Locke: I was done after one year. I went back to California. It was a couple different factors but I was happy to be back on the West Coast. For sure.
One thing I’m always big on is culture - so what’s one thing about being a California girl that you brought to the Big Apple?
Sophia Locke: [laughs] Well, you’re going to make fun of me for this but I wore flip-flops until there was snow on the ground. Growing up in Long Beach, California, I got made fun of so much by New Yorkers and I was like, ‘I don’t care. This is the Cali part of me.’
Let’s take a step back and go into the whole MILF world. Were you insulted or appreciative when you were approached with the MILF opportunities and when in the world was that? 2015? 2014? Prior?
Sophia Locke: I got into the industry in 2010 with camming. I wasn’t a part of that because I wasn’t at the age and then I left the industry for 5 years starting in 2016 so when I got back in, in 2021, I just kind of fell into the category because that’s where I was age-wise. I was really grateful even just to have a second chance at this career so I’m just stoked to be here and to have the opportunity so you can put me in any category you want. When I get older, I’ll be a GILF. I don’t care as long as I still get to work in this industry.
That’s why I’m working so hard. I’m just grateful I get a second chance.
Have to give TeamSkeet a massive salute and MYLF. What is it about them? Obviously we’re highlighting you right in this scene right here, the ‘Mom Swap’ content, let’s just talk about the relationship. We can talk about that scene and just in general why does MYLF keep getting it right especially with you?
Sophia Locke: They have such incredible directors. For that scene, I worked with Rex Oliver and when I first got back into the industry, I shot a lot for that director and this company. They really believed in me and kept hiring me. So I’m really grateful to them for just having really fun scenes, really fun sets and really great performers. I have not had a bad day working for them.
Those scenes in particular are really fun. It’s the second ‘Mom Swap’ I had done. For my first one, they had printed out all of these fan requests on exactly how they prefer the scenes to go and believe it or not it’s kind of an acting challenge because they want you to be as reluctant as possible and as realistic as possible going into somehow sleeping with your son’s stepson and then your own and that progression is such a bizarre thing to do on video, to try to make it realistic as, ‘Absolutely not,’ to ‘Now we’re banging.’ And to get that kind of embarrassment, the reluctance, the want, the need, the lust, and then to fall into it? It’s a really fun challenge for me so I was really excited to do a second ‘Mom Swap.’
Also rubbing elbows with Cory Chase in that scene as well. Talk about that on-screen chemistry from start to finish of that production.
Sophia Locke: Yes. I’ve worked with Cory a couple times actually. Before, it was with her own production company and it’s fun to see her on her set and on a pro set as well. She’s just such good energy and so positive and such a hard worker so I feel like it flowed really well.
How do I make a request for the people over at TeamSkeet or I think it’s MYLF for ‘Perv Principal.’ I want you on ‘Perv Principal’ and I cannot explain what it is about that. Whether it’s Sergeant Miles or maybe just the sarcastic energy in-between, but a personal request to having you on that, is that just something that’s fan-requested or do you just wait for the call?
Sophia Locke: I think that as long as you’re a member of the site and you request me and they see my name pop up enough, hopefully I’ll get booked for it. I would love to do it. I’ve done ‘Perv Therapy’ for them. I love all of the ‘Perv’ things. [laughs] I love being in a position where I’m in charge, that’s kind if new for me. I started my career with scenes being more submissive and so all these roles of being the teacher or the one seducing someone is newer and I’m enjoying it for sure.
Do redheads just do it better? There’s you? There’s Siri Dahl. Even bigger than the adult industry, there’s Nicole Kidman, Emma Stone, hey, Rihanna’s had the redhead days in the past. We always think blondes are their own unique thing but I think the gingers and the redheads, there’s a little bit more of an edge with them.
Sophia Locke: I’ve been red for years and years but it’s not my natural hair color. That’s the big ‘not secret’ I’m really honest about everything with me but I found it’s a smaller niche and for marketing purposes, it makes me standout. So if I have this MILF and this redhead and it works with my freckles and blue eyes, so it fools a lot of people. I definitely have fun with it, for sure.
You just blew my mind. I can already, foreshadowing, see people saying, ‘What, what?’ You’re not a real redhead. Going back to your first video I think I saw on the TeamSkeet platform, it’s Lady Fyre, Laz Fyre. You had blonde hair - and I think it was the baby markings of your [tattooed] sleeve.
Sophia Locke: That was super long ago. That was 2016. My natural hair is more of a brunette. I was a dirty blonde growing up at the beach from California and I did have a tattoo at the time. Over the years it kind of faded so I covered it up with this rose and this elephant and I have this songbird inside the ribcage too. That’s how you can tell it’s my older content.
It’s not even hair color. I was even red during that time period too. But if you see the tattoo and my boobs are bigger now. [laughs] That’s also a big indicator.
There’s an insane amount of awesomeness from this unforgettable chit-chat with Sophia Locke so tap in to see the TeamSkeet/MYLF standout talk about doing real estate during her retirement, the urge to come back, why she’s not into dating but loves her workout goals and endless more priceless gems.
Tiffany Fox: My favorite MYLF and TeamSkeet star loves the Denver Broncos, her new 'Draft II' scene, traveling and everything in-between
One of the craziest and most fun interactions I have ever had pre-during-post-interview? You better believe it. The stunning and super quirky - in the best ways possible, of course - TeamSkeet and MYLF superstar vixen Tiffany Fox came through in more than just one way for an unforgettable, super unique and just warm, fuzzy-feeling conversations I have quite possibly ever had. Ladies and gents, allow yourself to be blown away by the adult star beauty with an impressive track record, love for technology and editing plus a world traveler - literally - not to mention the star of TeamSkeet/MYLF’s ‘The Draft II’ alongside SlimThick Vic? Tap in baby!

As I always do around this time, if you’ve seen one interview you have practically seen them all. Some of the most random and fun pulled-quotes are below while the full-fledged 30-plus minute conversation is for your viewing pleasure a bit further down. Lose yourself in Tiffany Fox’s witty attitude, brute honesty and weirdly awesome love for ‘South Park’ turning her into a Denver Broncos because, you know, Colorado.
When I talked to you ahead of this conversation, I was blown away by the fact you love the Denver Broncos.
Tiffany Fox: That goes way back to staying up past my bedtime to watch ‘South Park’ when it was like ‘99. I saw the Denver Broncos. I was born in ‘92 so I was 7 and I was like, ‘Oh, Denver Broncos.’ So I decided to pick the Denver Broncos almost 25 years ago.
Do we still love Comedy Central?
Tiffany Fox: I still watch Comedy Central. 'Key & Peele.’ A-A-ron. De-nise. [laughs] I like comedy and stand-up comedians and stuff. I’m really into comedy.
Give me the top two or three places that are always in the back of your head to travel.
Tiffany Fox: The places I’m definitely going back to are Japan. I’m definitely going to go back to the UK. I’m going to be going back to the Netherlands for sure. I’m going back to Spain and Germany, for sure.
I dated an English national for like three years so I went back and forth when I was dating him. We would go and meet. When my six months was up in the UK, I would go and meet him in different places. He didn’t like me doing film and so ladies, don’t give up your income for some fucking asshole which was the mistake I made.
We met in Switzerland when I couldn't go to the UK and we met in Spain. We went to Belgium and the Netherlands. We went to Germany. So, yeah.
We have to talk about TeamSkeet.
Tiffany Fox: TeamSkeet is amazing. I love TeamSkeet. Honestly, I was texting to the director that shot the feature for ‘The Draft’ and TeamSkeet is amazing. I recently broke my finger and I’ve had two surgeries on it - it was a really terrible experience. TeamSkeet has been amazing with hiring me so much after breaking my finger.
They are amazing. They make me feel so great inside. When I work with them, I don’t even feel like I have this [broken finger]. Overall, I’ve never had a bad experience working with them. I’ve always worked with really amazing talent and it’s like, the directors here are absolutely amazing.
The one that shot me for the ‘Draft’ is one of my favorite ones. She’s amazing. That movie was a lot of fun to make. I’ve already worked with two of the performers already. I worked with G.I. Joey and I worked with Nicky Rebel a bunch of times in the past.
Nicky Rebel is one of my good friends in the industry. He’s an awesome guy. And Joey is an awesome guy too. He’s an Army veteran and everyone was all super down to Earth.
Jimmy [Michaels] is funny. Nade was really cool. Slimthick Vic was a sweetheart. At first I thought she didn’t like me because of how tired she was and I figured she didn’t like me and I was like, ‘Are you OK? Did I piss you off?’ And she was like, ‘No dude. I’m just really tired. I just flew in.’ The scene we shot, she was really tired but she really killed it.
She was super dope. Everyone on that cast was A-plus.
Do you feel like you’re still learning?
Tiffany Fox: I’m always learning. I’m definitely the person that doesn't like to be the know-it-all. I don’t like acting like I know it all. You’ve got to be the one that doesn't know it all and sit back and play the student. Sit there and learn and observe. Everyday I like to learn something different. Whether it be in my own industry. Video editing. If there are some things I didn’t know about [computer software] Final Cut Pro, I used to do audio engineering so I have some original music I can use with my movies. But it’s like, everyday is a learning curve.
For whatever reason, I’m addicted to your TeamSkeet ‘Perv Principal’ scene that you shot, I think that was with Sergeant Miles. I cannot explain what it is. Maybe it’s how you act.
Tiffany Fox: I think I got that scene last minute! I wasn’t booked for that. They didn’t book me for that. You want to know what happened? The girl talent, I feel bad for the female talent, she got a flat tire and they needed a female and I was tested.
It’s my sarcasm. ‘The Draft’ was the only thing that was scripted that I’ve done with TeamSkeet. Everything else was based off of an idea. It’s all improv. We’re sarcastic people. Me and Miles are buddies outside of porn. Miles is really cool. I love Sergeant Miles. He’s a really nice guy.
His level of sarcasm matches my energy of sarcasm. So we bounce off of each other really well.
Kick back and watch Tiffany Fox let loose on everything from her love for technology, editing her own content, what countries she still wants to visit and why certain anal scenes keep her on the edge.
Kiki Klout: The jaw-dropping adult star talks Crocs, her biggest Florida tendency, 'Back to the Cooter' series and plenty more
It’s not too often you get blown away by someone pre-during-and post-interview but that’s 100 percent the case after talking to the beautiful, quirky and absolute bad ass baddie Kiki Klout - you know, the jaw-dropping beauty who stars in the TeamSkeet/MYLF ‘Back to the Cooter’ series and much like the real Back To The Future trilogy - her performance in the second of the adult series is easily the best - personally speaking. I’m getting ahead of myself - exclusive alert, exclusive alert, exclusive alert - did I already mention exclusive alert?

I’m getting ahead of myself - exclusive alert, exclusive alert, exclusive alert - did I already mention exclusive alert?
You guessed it and you got it - I suppose all of the promotion throughout the site might have directed you here, too. The 28-year-old adult model/dancer/performer/you-name-it managed to squeeze nearly 30 minutes with Attack The Culture to dish on everything from her latest on-screen action-packed thrill ride and what she loves most about working with the TeamSkeet/MYLF production company to her love for having set schedules, mixing business with pleasure when traveling and why Keurig is a cheap substitute for the power of a real coffee.
Needless to say? This is the type of exclusive I am proud to personally deliver to you and for all those who come after - pause, fellas - take note - the way Kiki Klout let loose and had a ball? Perfection. As always, check out some of the highlights from the discussion and keep scrolling for the full-fledged chit-chat.
Are you typically an early bird or is this just how your schedule worked out today?
Kiki Klout: I feel like honestly? This isn’t even early. 10 AM? 10’s not early.
Yeah but when we watch you on social media and the reels and all those places, it seems like you have a bedtime of 4 AM. You’re at bars, you’re crawling over bar tables. You’re partying. So I feel like you would be the type to be up to at least three in the morning on a regular basis.
Kiki Klout: Honestly, no. No, I don’t like my schedule to be like that. I typically like my schedule to be to go to bed early and to wake up early. It hasn’t been like that lately because I’ve been on the go.
First and foremost, can we brag and say that ‘Back to the Cooter’ part two, just like the real Back to the Future series, is the best one? Or are you like, too proud to say, ‘No, they did their thing in part one, part three is great. We all were a collective team.’ Or do you feel comfortable enough to say, ‘No, you see my performance. You see Sasha Pearl. We killed it.’
Kiki Klout: You know, I didn’t get a chance to actually see the first one. I saw a snippet of the first one because it kind of combined them together in the trailer they had but honestly, I think we did a really good job on it. The editors on the TeamSkeet did a phenomenal job on the editing and photos - editing the video, even if we couldn’t remember lines, they would edit everything perfectly to make everything look so smoothly and transition so well.
I think collectively as a team, everybody did their part to make everything come together the way it needed to. I got a lot of compliments on it and congrats to everybody because we all killed it.
Focusing on your career, we’re at a really cool point in your life. You just hit the 28th birthday - you’re not a rookie, you’re not a certified veteran yet even though you have all of the work to suggest that - I’m just curious about, like let’s talk about ‘Back to the Cooter.’ When that opportunity presented itself, did they reach out to you because you already have a prior relationship with MYLF and TeamSkeet?
Kiki Klout: I have an agent, Brian through AMA - he’s based out of Florida and they booked me. They personally booked me for it. I was in town. I drive into town, shoot a bunch of scenes and then go home. [laughs] I didn’t even know what I was filming. I didn’t even know the storyline or anything.
Let’s talk about that for a quick second. I’ve see you Reality Kings. I’ve seen you on Brazzers. It seems like there’s a special relationship with TeamSkeet and the MYLF people based on how much content you’ve filmed for them. Is that a coincidence or is there something that separates TeamSkeet and MYLF from the other platforms and studios?
Kiki Klout: I feel like every company has their own niche about them. TeamSkeet, I feel like it’s what they film. Brazzers is about MILF and older women. Sexy women. The storylines are different. A lot of anal. I might have filmed some anal stuff for TeamSkeet but I think it was gonzo. And TeamSkeet is more teen and and funny storylines and I think sometimes Brazzers is more on the serious end and VIXEN is high-profile supermodel vibes. Gosh, what’s another company, Reality Kings - every company has their own niche even though I feel like they aim toward filming the same things, it still comes out different. Every time.
Going back to the whole Florida roots, is there one or two things that’s just so Florida about you that you bring everywhere you go? Whether it’s a Florida orange, a glass of orange juice, maybe it’s a Florida tendency. Because you travel so much, is there something that is like, ‘Oh my gosh. Every Florida person does that.’
Kiki Klout: My accent. I sound Southern. [laughs] I sound Southern. That and something I normally bring with me that’s Florida. My flip flops. [laughs]
That’s perfect because I love to ask people this too. Are we strictly flip flops or have you caved into the Croc world? I’ve seen big, brolic, muscular dudes with Crocs. First it was flip flops. Then it was UGGs. Now Crocs have taken over. Men and women completely. You can go ahead and tell me. Are you more of a Croc woman or a flip flop woman?
Kiki Klout: I actually have them. But I use them as pretty much throw on house shoes. I don’t travel with them. They’re too bulky.
I have to ask you, what is your best asset? No pun intended. If you’re a superhero, you’re a porn superstar, which you already are, let’s just say you have one super power. What is it?
Kiki Klout: One super power? My titties because they would be able to hypnotize people.
Need more laughs? Want to dig deeper into Kiki Klout’s adult world takeover? Need to know why she loves real coffee? Check out the full-fledged video interview below.
Talk To Me: Directors Danny + Michael Philippou are all laughs and tears talking A24, horror movies and why Sophie Wilde is a born Hollywood superstar
Let’s keep it 100? A24 just knows how to get it right and by the amount of happiness both directors Danny and Michael Philippou poured out of their eyes after learning the award-winning movie studio bought their must-see Talk To Me film? It’s safe to say they have plenty over 10 million reasons to smile extra big with their debut feature film doing big numbers and making history at the box office.
To be completely honest, I really want to deliver a few paragraphs of hype and realness for these two because they’re unlike anyone you’ll ever talk to - their energy level, their humor, their uniqueness - their signature RackaRacka video explosion edits - it’s just all types of awesomeness which leads me to geeking out over having just under 10 minutes to get a gazillion questions in surrounding their Talk To Me feature film immediately putting them in the cinematic history books with its summer release.
This is jokey but kind of serious at the same time. There were three massive crying moments [in your RackaRacka YouTube video ‘We Made A Horror Film’]. There was the moment you found out, ‘Oh my God. A24? What the eff! They bought the movie!,’ at Sundance. There was the big family reveal - even dad let loose some super dad tears. And then [Talk To Me star] Sophie’s reaction, I was shocked - she got down in the kitchen and you were like, ‘You’re going to be a fucking star, Sophie!’ Out of those three moments, crying-filled moments - how do you rank them?
Danny: The longest one was definitely with Sophie and realizing we’re so proud to be able to help present her to the world. She’s such a beautiful person and talented performer, that, to be able to have that many people look at her, and love her performance, so many people have reached out. It means so much to us. We were crying with Sophie for all of Sundance pretty much.
Michael: With all of the cast, it was like a dream come true.
Danny: There were three [big crying moments] in the video but at Sundance, we would all just start crying.
Michael: I think it was the altitude, no sleep.
Danny: Jordan Peele texted me! I was like, ‘Oh my God!’ I started getting emotional and then passed the phone over to Sophie and Sophie was like, ‘Oh my God!’ We all just started crying again.
It’s such an Australian vibe and there’s so much pride with this film and speaking of Sophie, I see like there could be that ripple effect. Sort of like what we’ve seen with Jenna Ortega. She does the X movie by A24, blows up, and she gets the Netflix series and everybody follows her - her IG goes crazy. She’s an iconic person and like the new Selena Gomez. I feel like Sophie, especially with those signature eyes, how she killed it - this is going to skyrocket [her career].
Danny: We hope so. We want nothing but the best for Sophie.
Michael: It’s like everyday on set. Every shot. Looking at it. There was never any bad takes of Sophie. Anyone who works with Sophie will see why we chose her. We lost a million dollars out of the budget for casting Sophie because she wasn’t a big name. She is, you guys just don’t know it yet.
She has so many subtleties of every human emotion. So much empathy. So authentic. She’s like the greatest. Our next movie, I’m kind of nervous. If we don't have Sophie? Whoever has the lead is going to have big boots to fill.
Just talking about A24 - that reaction was so authentic [to partnering with them]. You could have went so many other ways but what is - A24, that stamp, especially with this being your debut film, how much pride is attached to having A24 with that?
Michael: We feel underserving.
Danny: We feel like we’re terrible directors. [laughs]
Michael: No, we were at this party with all the A24 people and there’s all these prestigious directors and stuff and we’re like, ‘We shouldn’t be here.’ We feel like imposters. We’re so happy. I feel bad for them. Every time I go to their office, I raid their office and their merch.
A24 is just something we’ve always looked up to. It was jokes we always made in the edit. Like, ‘That’s not very A24 of you to lean over in that shot.’ We love them so much. To have them approach us at Sundance. It was the most surreal feeling ever.

Lawsy: The teenage rap crooner's 'Lawsy Pick Up' is officially streaming everywhere (Exclusive)
The moment I heard his ‘Giddy Up’ anthem, I knew Lawsy was on a serious grind in his own lane. So it’s only right to geek out over his newly released Lawsy Pick Up studio album release by chopping it up with the hip-hop crooner about his North Carolina roots, gearing up for the project’s massive drop and his co-signs continuing to stack up.
We’ve heard the ‘Lawsy Pick Up’ tag, when did you realize you had to go with that tag for your album title?
Lawsy: I just had to. That tag is iconic. I’ve had that shit for a minute, since I was like, 12. So that shit’s been in every song. Like, for three years.
With the glow up and the popularity - can you embrace the fun aspect of social media anymore or does it feel like social media is just part of the marketing package you have to be a part of?
Lawsy: Sometimes it can feel like that but other times it’s fun. I’ll just post funny shit and people laugh at it and stuff like that. That’s fun. But then, there’s other times where it’s like, ‘Damn, I just have to get this video up and it feels more like a job.’ Obviously, it’s like 50-50. A lot of the times it’s also fun.
Is there a platform you’re obsessed with? Of course there’s TikTok, of course IG Stories, Snapchat is still in existence - just for posting random stuff?
Lawsy: I be on my spam account on Instagram. I just be going live on there. That’s where I post my personal shit.
You have a lot of people messing with you now. You have DeJ Loaf following you, Sally Sossa, Cole Bennett. Do you even geek out anymore or do you feel like you’re glowing up and it’s as expected?
Lawsy: I definitely still do. I’ve got some crazy follow backs. Like with Cole Bennet, I’ve watched all of his music videos when he first started making shit with Lil Skies. A long time ago. It was crazy when he followed me because it’s like, ‘I’m really doing this shit.’ I just think of myself three years ago, like what I would think. I pull myself back. It’s definitely wild.
What was your take of his ‘100’ video with Baby Iron?
Lawsy: That shit was hard as fuck. I saw hella clips from there on TikTok and I went to go watch it. That shit was fire.
How much thought and process goes into the actual visual element of your own music videos? I can tell that you churn out fire, dope stuff and there’s a solid cinematic feel too.. It seems like there’s a whole behind the scenes team that helps get those videos going.
Lawsy: There definitely is. The videos are always really fun to shoot. It always has a nice plot line that goes with the lyrics. There’s definitely a lot put behind the music videos.
Stay tuned for the full-fledged video interview and head over to your go-to streaming giant to check out Lawsy’s new Lawsy Pick Up album right now-now.
Izza digs deep into LA culture, must-try food spots, her low-key love for hip-hop and more
West Coast pop star Izza is giving vintage Gwen Stefani vibes in 2023 and there’s no doubt she’s pushing to collect her flowers now - and I’m not just talking about this week’s Valentine’s Day ones. After first getting my attention courtesy of her ‘Naughty or Nice’ holiday anthem and now putting out her ‘Going Rogue’ single to the masses, it was only right to secure the Los Angeles native for a quirky, fun and signature conversation.
From talking about her City of Angels roots to going vegan for a legit five-year time span, it’s all things Izza. Check out some of the highlights below and keep scrolling for over 20 minutes of the blonde beauty being herself.
I want to make sure I’m properly pronouncing it, how do we say your name properly?
Izza: It’s ‘Iz-za’ My real name is Isabella so it’s just Izza. It’s just the first half of it.
What was the thought process going with that alias?
Izza: I used to dance classes when I was younger and I remember this one girl came up to me and my family calls me Bella, my childhood friends call me Bella but this one girl came up to me and asked if I ever go by Izza and I said, ‘No, I never heard that. That’s so cool.’ I always had that in the back of my mind and when I was trying to come up with an artist name - because my name is so long - I knew people weren’t going to want to pronounce my whole name, so I said, 'Izza would be a really good fit.’
I’ve gotta ask, are you full-blown LA-based or in recent years you kind of got transplanted there and just claim LA all-day?
Izza: I’m from Los Angeles. Born and raised here. I’m an LA girl. I grew up in the Valley. It’s my home. It’s so nice to live here and just be familiar with the city. I know a lot of people come out here to pursue music or pursue the entertainment industry. I have my family close by and I have my friends and I just love it here.
Can we go super crazy with In-N-Out burger or are you super vegan? I’ve seen your body and I’m like, ‘Wow. Is she like a vegan and super healthy? If there was any place to live at it would be LA with the vegan lifestyle.’ Can you cheat and have meat or no?’
Izza: So I was vegan for actually five years. I drank the LA Jungle Juice and I was vegan, all that stuff. I just found that it didn’t really work for me. I love eating healthy but I love In-N-Out. You cannot ‘not’ have In-N-Out.
It’s very rare for me to have a very Christmas-y sounding song that lasts past Christmas. There’s maybe like two or three. I think ‘Last Christmas’ by Wham! There’s one or two others and yours is one I can listen to in July. September. It’s kind of your signature sound. Girl power. Ferocious. Fun.
Izza: I love Lil Nas X’s ‘Holiday’ - I listen to that song even though it’s not Christmas. It’s the production. It’s so good you want to listen to it past the holiday time. I had so much fun writing that track. I love writing about certain themes. A lot of my music has very specific themes.
I have a song called ‘Love Bracelets’ and that’s about material items and love bracelets. I find it really easy to write about a specific topic. ‘Nintendo Bitch.’ That was really fun to write about. I want to continue to write songs with really strong themes.
How are social media and you going hand in hand? It feels like there’s so much of an emphasis at this point in your career where you’re blossoming and you want to touch all facets of the music biz.
Izza: I think social media is one of the most important things for artists, especially TikTok. I think that’s where new music gets discovered these days. I know the importance of it. I also genuinely like doing it. It’s fun for me. It’s another outlet for me to showcase my music. I just want to show that to people and try to connect.
I’ve connected with so many fans on social media and it’s so cool to talk to them about music and to hear their stories and how they relate to my songs. I think it’s the most rewarding thing you can do as an artist.
Do we still rely on Yelp or do you just kind of go with your gut feeling for trying out restaurants?
Izza: We need to cancel Yelp. Yelp does not need to be a thing anymore. I think that it’s so outdated and it’s just also so unfair to the restaurants because Yelp charges the restaurants to get reviews. It’s so bias. It’s not legit. I just rely on social media and Instagram and my friends to give me recommendations.
After you’re released new music and you need to exhale, are you on Paramount+? Disney? What are we watching?
Izza: I’m such a cliché because I’m like, ‘Yeah, I’m always in the studio.’ I actually love ‘Yellowstone’ and I’m not caught up to the current season but that’s a really good show. I love putting stuff on in the background and I’ll watch more leisure shows when I’m doing work and editing.
I love ‘Stranger Things.’ I love really good TV and whatever is popular. I like ‘White Lotus.’ ‘White Lotus’ is really amazing.
Kick back and check out Izza’s full interview to see her talk about her hip-hop inspirations, new ‘Going Rogue’ song and what LA restaurants she’s rocking with these days.
Kold x Windy's secret weapon MissDriDri talks Puerto Rican roots, must-see Chicago spots, glowing up and WE tv's must-watch new series
It’s all types of bragging rights for hip-hop artist MissDriDri in 2023. The Chicago native has ample things to smile about these days with her WE tv series ‘Kold x Windy’ delivering mind-blowing moments on a weekly basis and her handwritten lyrics plus music fueling the scripted series.
The jaw-dropping beauty is much more than your typical hip-hop female rap artist - she’s going beyond the boundaries playing the vital role of creating music and lyrics to go with ‘Kold x Windy’ cast members - and I’m not talking just the roles of Sh’Kia’s Windy and Nijah Brenea’s Kold. DriDri is responsible for piecing together the lyrics of each musician you see on-screen and does it with the heart of Chicago’s drill music in every line.
So with Valentine’s Day hours away and a new episode slated to air this Thursday on WE tv, it’s only right to secure MissDriDri for a one-on-one conversation dishing on everything from deep-dish Chi-Town pizza and must-see spots to her love for New York City’s best borough and Nathan’s hot dogs - not to mention how much she’s glowing up at the start of the new year. Peep some of the key quotes below and keep scrolling to watch MissDriDri let loose.
I think the biggest question everyone wants to know is how do we properly spell your name? I’ve seen all caps. I’ve seen ‘Miss Dri Dri,’ I think I’ve seen it backwards. I’ve seen so many different varieties of your name and I want to clear the record for all the Wikipedia folks in the world.
MissDriDri: It is ‘M-i-s-s-D-r-i-D-r-i.’ So D-r-i-D-r-i has always been my nickname. So DriDri has been my nickname growing up and I started hosting a local Chicago access show way back in the day, channel 19. I know Chicago people are familiar with it and the guy who ran the channel, he was like ‘You know, you’re so sassy. We need to add Miss in front of your name.’ And in that moment, I became MissDriDri and it’s been like that for a minute. No spaces. All one. All crammed in. Just like that.’ … It can be all lowercase but just make sure there are no spaces. And Miss is spelled out.
There’s some Puerto Rican in you too. I don’t think people realize that you’re Puerto Rican. Is there any connection between you and La La because, ‘La La and DriDri.’
MissDriDri: Ohh - you did your research didn’t you! You know what? I’ve been told so much that we look alike. I mean, she is a beautiful girl - that might be my little sister from another mister. Who knows? Shout-out to La La. But it’s no relation. Listen. if she wants to be my sister? Let’s go, La La.
I feel like the Puerto Rican shorties are taking over. We’ve got J. Lo. We’ve got DriDri. And we got La La. That alone? It’s like the new Phoenix Suns. It’s just a complete takeover. Are we keeping it under wraps like, ‘I don't need to publicize I’m Puerto Rican,’ because somebody might look at the comparisons when they see the photos like, J. Lo, La La and DriDri have something very much in common.’
MissDriDri: Yeah, yeah. I like that. That’s kind of dope. I’m actually bi-racial. I never use that as a defining. For me, I’m just DriDri. When people ask me what’s my ethnicity, everything from me is Chicago. ‘What’s your ethnicity?’ Chicago. ‘Where are you from?’ Chicago. I’m definitely not hiding it. If you find out, you find out. It is what it is. It’s not a secret.
WE tv is really stepping it up with a bunch of amazing content. How excited are you to be such a driving force for putting out a lot of great content that’s now being featured on a high scale like WE tv?
MissDriDri: First of all, I’m so thankful to be a part of such a great venture and WE tv is stepping it up a notch. I can’t lie. I was watching WE tv before that because I am a reality TV fiend so I watch ‘Love After Lockup’ and all that good stuff. But I am loving this hip-hop range that WE tv is going after. I have checked out ‘Hip Hop Homicides’ and all of these new demographics. These new scripted shows that are out? Wow. Especially being a part of ‘Kold x Windy,’ there’s no words for me.
I’m just excited. I’m just so thankful to first being able to represent female rap and secondly, to be representing my city. Let’s go! Chicago we up a billion points!
Every bar on ‘Kold x Windy’ is you. Talk about taking on that challenge and how exciting it was for you to be a part of this project and then finding out it wouldn’t be on a small scale but that you would be the heartbeat of this series.
MissDriDri: So that graduated as the series developed because I would just go after and see what it was like, submitting for different characters and by the grace of God, I was able to win them all. I don’t even have no words for how I feel being the sole writer lyrically for ‘Kold x Windy.’ I’m so in awe of the project. Even when I saw the male characters because I had never written for a male rapper before let alone a male character so this was all a new space for me.
But when I saw how it was performed? I was like, ‘Oh!’ Let’s go! I was watching all of the comments and people saying, ‘Your verse was fire.’ Being a part of that I really have no words. I still can’t believe that I did something like that.
Even my mama called me and said, ‘Even that part right there, did you write that too?’ I’m like, ‘Yeah ma, I wrote it all. The intro song and everything.’ She's like, ‘I’ve gotta tell my friends!’ We’re all taking it in.
For the entire interview, kick back and check out MissDriDri dish on Valentine’s Day potential plans, where to ball on a budget in Chi-Town, the best spots for Chicago pizza and more!

It goes without saying, the Black Panther franchise is easily the biggest and most representative of the culture so when Wakanda Forever finally hit theaters and broke records, the countdown immediately started up for when the world could own the legacy late iconic actor Chadwick Boseman started.
From securing multiple Academy Award nominations including Angela Bassett’s Oscar nod for Best Supporting Actress to starting Black History Month with this must-see film arriving February 1 on Disney+ - it’s truly a celebration of Black excellence. To make things even more exciting? How about this week’s arrival of the mind-blowing and must-own Black Panther: Wakanda Forever SteelBooks? If you’re a little late to the party, just know… Marvel Studios' Black Panther: Wakanda Forever is now available on 4K Ultra HD, Blu-ray with exclusive collectible editions and also streaming on Digital.
The only way to properly geek out over this massive rollout is having the opportunity to speak to famous artist Dorothea Taylor about her eye-opening design, getting her Marvel Universe stripes and digging a bit deeper into the art culture with - of course - Attack The Culture. Tap in.
Hitting the rewind button for a quick moment, how would you explain the overall feeling (possibly a mixture of excitement and pressure) to be attached to such a highly-anticipated film?
Dorothea: Honestly my overall feeling when I got the Black Panther Wakanda Forever project was a mixture of extreme joy followed by an overwhelming sense of anxiety. There’s always some fear and pressure involved in living up to an assignment of this magnitude. I was so honored that Marvel Studios and Disney had showed their faith in my ability by selecting me.
The Black Panther is such a major part of the Marvel Universe. I understand how demanding and intense the fans can be, how emotionally invested they are. The Black Panther franchise is unique in that it resonates with fans of the superhero genre - Marvel fans specifically, as well as Black people in general. Some of the folks who went to see BP wouldn’t necessarily go see just any superhero movie. So the fan base has a wide spectrum. The first movie introduced us to not only a Black superhero but also a Black nation that was all about Black excellence. According to Rotten Tomatoes, Black Panther is the number 1 Marvel film, ever! Black Panther 2 had been highly anticipated from the moment the first one wrapped. So pressure is an understatement. There was a lot to live up to and lots of fans to appease.
The artwork is simply stunning and brings another epic element to owning the physical versions of the film. You previously mentioned wanting people to feel the soul and spirit of the film with the steelbook and my goodness - did you ever! Based on your own scale, how close did you get to creating your vision and reaching your goal?
Dorothea: Thank you for your kind words. I think the interesting thing about being an artist is that there is always an initial vision in your head. Interestingly when I put it on paper... well these days it has more to do with drawing on a computer... sometimes the outcome veers away from what I envisioned. It’s kind of like having a dream and trying to describe it once you wake up. It’s a little fuzzy. I think the more I work the closer I get to the vision in my head but I don’t think I ever capture that vision 100%. As in most things I create, I look at the final piece and see things I might have done differently. Like most artists, we continue to tweak the work the more we look at it and would probably continue to tweak it if we didn’t have a deadline.
While of course I am going to be partial to you, we must admit - Orlando Arocena really held his weight with his version as well. Was it friendly competition between the two of you or was there any part of collaboration between you both - being brilliant artists and sharing two different but amazingly unique steelbooks. Spoiler: True fans will have to own both because they’re both stunning!
Dorothea: Definitely, Orlando Arocena is a gifted artist, and he has illustrated probably over a dozen SteelBooks. I feel he is a modern-day master and he’s such a great design thinker. Discovering his work and developing an admiration for his creations was my introduction to The Poster Posse, the agency that represents him and more recently me. I came on board nearly 2 years ago. When I saw the type of things he and the Posse were doing, I was determined to try to get added to their roster of over 60 talented international artists. The Posse is celebrating its 10th anniversary this year. The agency was founded by husband-and-wife team Don and Rebecca Thompson because they wanted to help artists find opportunities. Orlando was one of the original 8.
I started the project in September. In the beginning, I created over a dozen concept sketches that go in a different direction than the one you see in the final case. For one thing I was concepting for all things Wakanda and Talokan. The scope changed a bit mid-October when Orlando was brought on board. Needless to say, I was excited. The new plan included 2 SteelBook designs by two different artists. We did a brief Zoom call with our rep, Rebecca Thompson, to discuss our approach. We landed on the idea of making the 2 SteelBook set, a collaboration that would work together and compel fans to buy both of these limited-edition cases. The direction we landed on was a “face off” of sorts so that when they sit on a shelf, Namor and Shuri would face one another. While the idea may look competitive, our actual goal was to find ways to connect them together as companion pieces. There are similarities between the two designs like the blue and gold dominant color palette, the large profiles of the leaders of Talokan and Wakanda with a medallion like treatment behind their heads that speaks to their respective cultures. Mine is inspired by African patterns and Orlando’s is inspired by an Aztec calendar. So the idea was never to compete or even create in a similar style, it was to bring our unique styles but with some sense of continuity.
I never get tired of saying how grateful I am to Orlando. He was very encouraging, humble, and always willing to share his knowledge with me throughout the process. It was a special treat to team up with him.
While this Marvel project is an excellent way for people to become familiar with your work, would you talk about your love for the art and design culture? Your designs range from Chance The Rapper and Donald Glover to icons like Serena Williams, Muhammad Ali and LeBron James.
Dorothea: I have a lot of interests. I love tennis, music and sports in general. I find that I like to illustrate people who fascinate me and have an impact on the culture. I created illustrations of people like Donald Glover, Chance the Rapper, Serena Williams, Muhammad Ali and LeBron James because I like what they stand for. They are all great ambassadors for their craft but they don’t play it safe and they stay true to themselves.
You’ll also notice I have several different illustration styles that I feel are all sides of me. In my design business I like to offer a number of approaches so that the studio has a range beyond just one look. That way the studio can be a one stop shop. We once had a project where the client thought of hiring 6 different artists and we were able to convince them we could handle the entire project.
What was the process like for creating your beautiful Wakanda Forever steelbook? Was it a step-by-step procedure where each iteration and design was examined and approved or did you have full free range to create?
Dorothea: Again, thanks for the kind words. I started the process with pencil sketches that I created in Procreate on my iPad. The sketches were presented to Disney first and then Marvel. When I first started the project in September there weren’t a lot of assets or imagery available. Because the plot and details of the film were quietly kept, there were almost no images of the Black Panther suit. In fact, when I started, I wasn’t even sure who would be wearing it.
After Disney choose a few concepts they liked, I did color renditions. I also created a new Black Panther 1 SteelBook at the same time so there was some thought given to making these 2 SteelBooks more similar. I absolutely love the direction we ended up going in with 2 Black Panther: Wakanda Forever SteelBooks using 2 different artists. It’s a brilliant initiative and I’m so glad that Best Buy was receptive to it. It’s very cool that they offer both of these limited edition SteelBooks exclusively for a limited time.
Once the decision was made to move in this new direction it was back to the drawing board. As I started narrowing in on the design and proceeding to color, I had to get approvals from Disney, Marvel Studios, the movie creators and finally the actors for likeness approvals. I created parts of the design in Adobe Illustrator, started illustrating the portraits in Procreate and finally assembled it all in Photoshop.
What type of environment did you put yourself in for this creation? With Attack The Culture focusing heavily on hip-hop lifestyle and music, do you thrive with musical sounds in the background when you create - notably on a project of this magnitude - or do you prefer the silent approach?
Dorothea: I do like to have something playing in the background while I’m working. Sometimes I like to listen to music like an R & B playlist on Apple music but lately I find myself listening more to audio books. (I think for this piece I listened to “The Personal Librarian” a true story about Belle, a Black woman who worked for J.P. Morgan and became one of the most powerful people in the art and book world at a time when women and more importantly Black people, weren’t considered for those type of roles.)
I find that listening to audio books is my way of multi-tasking and submerging myself into another world while I use the right side of my brain to create. To me the time flies by and I find myself working for hours on end without realizing so much time has gone by.
How did this creation differ from your normal routine?
Dorothea: I’m always working on multiple projects at the same time. When I worked on Wakanda Forever I was also working on a SteelBook for Black Panther 1. This project required a lot of vetting and approvals, understandably so considering its magnitude, so I wasn’t mad at that.
After seeing something as groundbreaking as your steelbook, do you feel you’ve officially earned your Marvel Cinematic Universe stripes? It feels like there’s more of this needed for the culture and of course the Black Panther fanatics which will find ways to frame this artwork and keep the legacy thriving for generations to come.
Dorothea: Creating an original piece of art for the Marvel Universe is a huge feather in my cap. This is my second assignment for Marvel. I’d like to think I’ve earned my stripes, but I’m not opposed to taking on another assignment or two to make it official.
Marvel Studios' Black Panther: Wakanda Forever is now available on 4K Ultra HD, Blu-ray with these exclusive collectible editions and also streaming on Digital.
Astrokidjay is convinced he knows the best PlayStation 2 game ever made
It’s a celebration these days for Toronto’s Astrokidjay. The hip-hop artist is grinding out the final weeks of December and coming through with ample audio heat courtesy of his newly released God Bless The Mafia (Side A) studio album.
It’s a celebration these days for Toronto’s Astrokidjay. The hip-hop artist is grinding out the final weeks of December and coming through with ample audio heat courtesy of his newly released God Bless The Mafia (Side A) studio album.
The project is packed with ample repeat value and music videos to take things to a cinematic level. To geek out over the album even more, Jay chops it up with Attack The Culture to dish on everything from why he took a mafia approach to the album’s concept and his hard-hitting collaborations to his low-key love for cinnamon pancakes with a side of spaghetti and why Rihanna and Zendaya could be on the lookout for him in the Hollywood scene sooner than later.
Check out some of the interview highlights and keep scrolling to watch nearly 20 minutes of signature interactions.
Give me some emotion. What is the state of mind? You’re no rookie to putting out new projects but with this one, it’s your baby right now.
Astrokidjay: I’m just turned up right now. I’m excited to see what people are going to think about it. I worked on the project for like five months. I worked really hard on it. I feel like it’s different from everything else I put out. The sounds on there. The production.
I went on beats I usually wouldn’t go on. I’m touching certain topics I usually don’t speak on. So, I’m just happy to see what my fans are going think of it.
Where are you looking for the most feedback? Of course we know you’re big on the IG Story. You only have two IG posts and I feel like those are going to be Vanish Mode really soon. I know you like to keep the IG clean. You’ve got the IG Story. You obviously got the YouTube feedback. There’s other platforms. Where do you get the most feedback for a big releases like God Bless The Mafia (Side A)?
Astrokidjay: I would say Instagram honestly. My friends will personally message me. I try to reply to everybody. People usually just message me through Instagram and I’ll see the comments and interactions. I usually can tell if something is getting a lot of traction they’re rocking with it.
Twitter, too. I get a lot of feedback. Even on the street. Like On Road, I’ll hear from a couple of supporters and they’ll let me know their feedback like, ‘I really rocked with that tape,’ or ‘I really rocked with that song.’ So it’s really all over.
I’m still waiting on Elon Musk to hit you with that retweet.
Astrokidjay: [laughs] I need that Elon retweet!
Are we really going to call Scarface one of the best video games ever created on the Playstation 2? Does that still hold the title?
Astrokidjay: I’m not even going to lie. Scarface was a tough game but I feel like they copied GTA: San Andreas too much. I feel like Def Jam was the hardest game on PS2. Def Jam for sure.
One of my boys is big into the fighting games and he says he’s yet to play a game as good as Def Jam. You’re playing with your favorite artists.
Astrokidjay: You’re playing with your favorite artists and on the street. You’re beating up rappers you don’t like I guess. You can play as your favorite rapper and turn shit up. I guess Def Jam would be the best game on Playstation 2 for me.
I would say NBA Street too.
If you could either do a collaboration with Rihanna or appear in the next Spider-Man movie, let’s say on-camera you’re Zendaya’s fictional boyfriend. Peter Parker is real tight at you. Which one would you go with? I feel like both of those bring a lot of opportunity. Hollywood and music-wise.
Astrokidjay: That’s a hard one right there. I feel like Rihanna is a dream collaboration for sure. I definitely would take the Rihanna song.
It’s just because I feel like me and her would make something crazy. Something magical. But I would definitely take the opportunity to be in a Marvel movie too. For sure.
Who wouldn’t? I think I want to tap into the acting scene later on. I want to open one of those doors. I want to go into the movie and Hollywood world and get a couple acting scenes.

Dark pop artist Fae might really be the biggest Halsey fan on the planet
There’s something special about surprises - notably when you come across a new sound and music so unexpected you have to connect with the person responsible for it. Meet Fae. The West Coast dark pop artist with the proud mix of Jewish and Japanese background and zip-zero interest in religious practices on top of the fact she might have cracked the TikTok cheat code to success. Super important question. Is it capital ‘F’ or lowercase ‘f’ because I’ve seen your name in so many different varieties and first, and I even saying it right and second, yes I am saying it right?
Fae: Yes! I initially wanted it to be lowercase but then it was literally just a thing for when I submitted my Spotify stuff they were like ‘We don’t allow creative capitalization.’ And I’m like, ‘That’s not true because other people have done it.’ I’ve made it uppercase because of that but now I kind of am glad that it is. So uppercase F.
How in the world did the ‘Devil May Care’ concept come about because I know it’s the last official song leading up to your EP?
Fae: I basically found out about the phrase ‘Devil may care’ which means being reckless and careless and the way that my brain went is, I’m a very non-religious person. I grew up in a super non-religious household so I kind of use mocking religious themes in a lot of my music because I can. So I kind of had the thought that the devil may care is about people not knowing what you’re doing but I kind of had the thought process of I feel like if the devil did care about something, he would make it way worse.
I used to have some anger issues that I had to unlearn but even though I have gotten really good about not reacting to situations, my brain still goes to a really fucked up place. Like when somebody does something to me, I’ve never slashed anyone’s tires but that is where my brain goes every time I get mad. I think, ‘I should actually slash their tires.’ I’ve never followed through but I basically let my brain go to a place where it goes when it’s really fucked up and I’m really angry. Not things that I’ll actually do but basically letting that devil on your shoulder win. Like, ‘You know what? Fuck it, you go and have fun.’ That was kind of the concept behind it.
There’s so much power in this TikTok tool and for you personally, how much of an uplifting source has it been? There’s always been Twitter, Instagram, Facebook - who goes there anymore besides family and friends? How much has TikTok been that big boost for you?
Fae: I am super, super pro TikTok. I feel like it has taken over the music industry in a way that has never really been done before. We saw it a little with MySpace and the blogs that were bigger around 2010 but I feel like TikTok has given so much power to the artists. I remember reading somewhere one of the reasons TikTok is such a powerful mover in music is because it’s one of the few social media apps people are scrolling with the sound on. A lot of things like Instagram and stuff you kind of have your phone on silent and people aren’t really listening to things.
On TikTok, you’re trying to listen to stuff. As musicians, we’re like, ‘Thank god, you’re not just looking at us you’re listening to the actual music.’ On Twitter you actually have to direct someone to a thing away from the platform and on Instagram you’ve got to get someone to turn on their volume.
TikTok really levels the playing field. You’ll see label signed artists that aren’t doing that good on TikTok and then you’ll see independent artists who are absolutely crushing it on TikTok and it’s so cool that artists have so much power like that. I’ve read articles about how it’s actually changing how record deals are happening.
It used to be like a 90-10 split where the artist would get '10 percent’ - which is insane - and now these record deals are getting closer to 50-50 because artists are coming in with so much more leverage and so much of an audience and defined brand that they’re like ‘Fuck you. I can do this without you. You can help if you want but I can do this without you.’
'Bitch Ass' director Bill Posley and cast know why the horror genre is killing right now
It’s no secret - the scary movie and TV trend isn’t going anywhere but up heading into 2023. With the back-to-back box office success of Smile slaughtering up the competition including a star-studded Amsterdam release and 90’s horror icon Chucky having a successful series to Michael Myers still somehow being alive and thriving with movie ticket sales to prove it in 2022 - it’s safe to say it’s going to remain scurry for a long time.

But with every genre comes a standout you honestly didn’t see coming and find yourself attached to - immediately. Hollywood actor turned director Bill Posley’s passion project Bitch Ass officially comes out Friday, October 14 and it takes comedy, horror and all the gory in-between stuff to a whole other level.
Bill and Bitch Ass stars Tunde Laleye and Me’lisa Sellers come through clutch for Attack The Culture with a chop up session about their new movie, the genre winning across all platforms and why the newest addition to the horror movie icons isn’t your traditional slasher villain. As always, check out highlights from the discussion below and keep scrolling for the full-fledged interview.
Why is horror killing it right now? No pun intended.
Me’lisa: I’m going to speculate. Maybe it’s the level of escapism that you get with horror. Of course the shock value. There’s something about escaping and being - I spoke on this recently saying it’s kind of like being on a rollercoaster ride and just kind of inching up, inching up, inching up knowing that when you get to the top and go over to the other side it’s going to be, ‘Ahhhh!’ You know what I mean? The shock of how it’s going to feel compared to all the other rollercoasters and experiences. I think there’s just something about sitting somewhere, escaping and being taken on this journey of ‘I don’t know what the hell is going to happen. Am I going to be peeing in my pants? Jumping out of my seat screaming?’ That has a lot to do with it.
And then for the horror that’s a bit more political. I think it’s a way to not preach at people and introduce very important ideas and it’s all encompassing. That’s what I think and speculate.
Tunde: I just think people have always been fascinated with thrill. There’s a reason why Halloween is one of the most celebrated holidays not just in the United States but in the world period. People like the idea of being frightened and just getting out of your comfort zone and something coming after you.
I think our film does a remarkable job and that’s a reason why the public resonates with horror so far.
Bill: I think what’s great is horror, to me, is the only genre that horror is the star. Part of that is that with the box office and all this stuff, the idea that like Smile doesn’t need to have Christian Bale in it and directed by David O. Russell to shine because it is like, to me, the great equalizer that when you come up with a concept. A killer. A plot. Or a scare that is so intriguing and so interesting that you can get people to forgo tentpole names that they already know. I think that’s what’s always made horror special.
It is literally the great equalizer when you are low-budget or first-time moviemaker. People will come watch this because they’re not reliant on the names or the household names that they already know. I think that has a lot to do with why horror is important and to take that even a step farther, I think horror is a genre that everybody relates to because I think horror has always been on the pulse of society.
Obviously Get Out is something that likens to that as well but one of the things that I always think horror has allowed is you get to see people in society who are underdogs win.
You get to see women take charge. You get to see people of color take charge. Anyone who is an underdog, you get to see nerds. People who have been bullied. People who have been this. To me, it’s one of the most relatable genres and always has been.
I think it’s something where the genre is more important than who is in front of the camera.
Me’lisa, you already have a connection to the horror genre from the movie Split, what made you want to take part in this film to help get Bill’s vision to the masses?
Me’lisa: Marsia. The character of Marsia and her relationship with her son and her need to protect him at all costs. It’s a story that I know and I wanted to fill the shoes and I wanted to breathe life into an African American woman who had ‘that’ and I know it sounds strange speaking about a horror film to say that but I think it’s part of the pulse of the film.
It’s their relationship and how close they are to each other. But also, I just fell in love with the script and I’ve said before, once I was invited to the call back, I fell in love with Bill and Jonathan and I just heavily respected and valued what they created. I felt like I had a bit of foresight that it would be good and I would be good in it.
And then just some of the stuff I got to do in the film! I was like, ‘Oh my god! Yes! Give it to me!’ I wanted it so bad so yeah, those are all of those things that drew me to it.
Tunde: Man, the idea of the first Black boogieman? That was a win for me already. I also liked the character. Cecil. I could relate to the character. It’s a story of an underdog and a kid that was picked on a lot and a kid that was bullied and I felt like I could relate to it.
Coming from a different country, I went through similar situations. Not like I got bullied physically but I was teased for being different. I’m just the biggest fan of Bill Posley, man. Not only Bill Posley is an amazing director and writer, but he’s also a stand-up comedian. So I met Bill at one of his stand-up comics and I was like, ‘Oh my goodness. This guy is amazing. He has a vision. If I ever have an opportunity to work with Bill, I will do it.’ I read the script and it just took me on this incredible roller coaster.
I was like, ‘Oh my goodnesss. Cecil. Come on.’ I’m always rooting for the underdog, man. I was like, ‘Absolutely. I have to be a part of this.’
Check out what Bill, Me’lisa and Tunde had to say about their most memorable experience from filming, putting the movie together during the height of COVID-19 before vaccinations were available and the close-knit bond everyone shared on and off-set below!
'Sextortion' filmmakers talk must-see doc, real life cases and why this is the new school sex ed
It’s rare to find myself thinking about a documentary daily - even hourly - after watching it. In most cases it sits with you and you keep things moving but getting the chance to screen the new Sextortion film by director Maria Demeshkina Peek and Stephen Peek my mind was completely blown. For 90 minutes, I remained glued to my screen and realized this should be a must-watch in every school system across the nation especially as social media continues to rise.

For 90 minutes, I remained glued to my screen and realized this should be a must-watch in every school system across the nation especially as social media continues to rise.
With jam-packed schedules and excitement to get their emotionally-driven and eye-opening Sextortion film out to the masses Friday, October 7 across streaming platforms like Apple TV/iTunes, the Peeks took time to speak to Attack The Culture about why this is not your typical thought-provoking and real-life documentary.
Buckle up for a few highlights from the conversation and keep scrolling to view the entire interview.
Where in the world did the motivation and need to put this entire project together come from because it’s an absolute must-watch.
Maria: People approached Stephen first at the end of 2019 and pitched this project to him. It was originally supposed to be documentary in Orange County following human trafficking with lots of guns and lots of action. That all had to be scraped at the beginning of 2020 because as you well know what happened. We had to stay on the East Coast and look for a case to demonstrate this specific crime because the more we were doing research, the more we realized kids were online and this is happening to them with a 1,000 percent higher rate than human trafficking and no one is talking about it. Nobody knows about it.
We’re the parents of, back then 9 and 11-year-old girls, and now they’re 11 and 14 and we felt we were supposed to tell this story and the Department of Homeland Security disclosed this case for us and gave us all the files so we had all the tools we needed to tell this story and keep people’s attention.
Stephen: It’s crazy. Two years ago we didn’t even know sextortion was a thing. As Maria said, we’re parents and we’re researching and deciding should we make this movie, we found like 50 documentaries on trafficking and found nothing on this which is as Maria said a thousand times more prevalent than trafficking.
We also found out that the 10 to 15-year-olds are the most at-risk group for this and our girls were right smack dab right in the middle of this. It was very personal for us and we realized people just don’t know about it and it really is the fastest growing crime in the world that nobody knows about. So we realized we gotta make this movie.

This is one of those films I could not take my eyes off of. The storytelling. The cases. Daniel Harris. Oh my god. I don’t want to spoil it for people who are going to watch it for the first time but the way you both edited it and made it feel so flawless - just talk about the presentation - I couldn’t look away.
Maria: Thank-you for saying all those things but we definitely wanted to keep audience’s attention. We wanted to have that really strong, true crime element to it so people could understand from a granule level but also have their attention kept and they can’t leave.
This case, several other production companies wanted to make this film however the pandemic hit and we were the ones trusted with it and it was amazing to us that every single point we wanted to make happened in this case and even more content which will blow your mind.
We even had to hire artists in the Ukraine to paint and do drawings using the photos of our actual people because we couldn’t physically go into the courtrooms and film. All the way until 2021, we couldn’t even use actors so we had to animate moments and use that to kind of progress the story forward - there were definitely challenges and we even traveled in an RV instead of airplanes because of the locations because we couldn’t physically get into an airplane and then interview a federal agent. It just wasn’t an option before vaccinations and all of that.
A lot of challenges. A lot of mental health challenges. With October, it’s mental awareness - as a parent you might not want to talk about it and put your head into the sand. No, this doesn’t happen. Unfortunately it happens. Every day, one in seven children, new data suggests one in four children are being targeted online.
Within moments of seeing this - kids need to see this. I think about back in the day being in school and watching sex ed videos. This has to be in some type of curriculum. I don’t know if it’s high school or middle school but is there any thought of trying to maybe getting schools to bring this in and view?
Maria: Absolutely. Number one, we cleaned up this case so much that it’s rated PG compared to what we had which was R in an actual case files with the thought that all middle school and high school students should see this. We started working with the National Center of Exploited Children and Homeland Security agents to put together modules based on the film with Q&A.
This is going to be extended into a library. After this is released, we’re going to work on expanding a library of stories from different children to prevent this from happening to the next kid.
Stephen: We’re realizing talking to a lot of people on the front lines that we literally cannot arrest ourselves out of this problem. We were told if every agent was working 24/7, 365 they couldn’t keep up. It’s become crystal clear that we have to move toward prevention.
We have to get parents and kids to see what’s happening. Then we can start to move these numbers. That’s when we realized that true crime is so popular like Maria was saying so if we use these true crime tropes to tell a story, it doesn’t feel like you’re getting a lecture. And a lot of the prevention material is either geared for really little kids or they’re pretty cheesy and so we said let’s use this fantastical case of a top gun pilot and naval academy graduate in the year the Top Gun: Maverick movie comes out, we couldn’t even plan that any better, right?
To use this in a way that teens and their parents can see something in a new way and not be bored to tears.
