All in Date Night or Nahhh...
A24 puts out quality films on a regular basis. Whether we’re talking about X or even the insanely dope Red Rocket and Everything Everywhere All At Once, the storylines, acting and overall presentation is as reliable as what Quentin Tarantino puts out into all of his flicks. So the newest Bodies Bodies Bodies teaser should make those Date Night thoughts intensify - in a good way, of course.
It’s hard to imagine seeing an animated film without a bunch of kids scattered throughout. Surprisingly, Apple TV+’s upcoming Luck movie looks like a solid go-to for a date night with enough fun and quirkiness to kick back with bae and enjoy.
If you know the genius of Kevin Smith, then you already know anything he touches deserves your attention. The fact Clerks and even Clerks II still slap in 2022 is mind-blowing to say the least. So with a third addition to the franchise happening? Holy smokes.
If time flew by and you missed going to see Everything Everywhere All at Once in theaters, the time has come to soak in those Digital HD goals and geek out over the must-see film of the year’s arrival to rent and own, digitally of course. Whenever you’re talking about A24, you know you like your chances - pretty much like teams you expect to make the playoffs every season.
Approved! Laugh if you want at the fact it more than likely has a PG rating but if you’re looking for a reason to stay in with bae once fall comes around and watch something worthy of a Date Night? Look no further than Hocus Pocus 2 set to stream on Disney Plus on September 30.
Date Night approved? Yup. I haven’t seen it but just getting a glimpse into the trailer for 20th Century Studios’ Barbarian, the excitement is insanely real.
Just keeping it 100? Halloween goals are year-round because everyone knows horror movies are always going to be the best date night movie with bae. Big facts. So it’s no surprise the new Smile movie looks scary as hell and ready to spike every nerve in your body once September 30 arrives?
What’s going on with Hulu these days? There is a shocking amount of quality and really impressive content landing on the popular streaming giant with new anticipation being mounted for the upcoming Not Okay flick.
Sure - it’s all about Obi-Wan Kenobi right now but there’s no questioning how much Jean-Luc Picard has held it down for decades in outer space. If you saw ‘Star Trek: Picard’ season one, you already know CBS is coming correct with quality content, well-written storylines and production worthy enough of putting the iconic actor Patrick Stewart front and center. So the announcement of season two on Blu-ray, DVD and steelbook this fall is all types of date night - or weekend - goals.
There is something about funny and comedy you can’t deny. If you can properly do it right - which sometimes if not often means having the right behind the scenes people like Judd Apatow - the results are almost always non-stop laughs and a great overall story. The upcoming BROS flick looks like it’s packed with humor and ready for a date night setting.
Dating shows are always tough, especially those ‘Love & Hip Hop’ types because one episode could hit too close to home while others could be so wild you and bae will just be in tears laughing the entire time. Prime Video’s new unscripted ‘The One That Got Away’ series is on deck and could be super packed with binge worthiness.
So maybe you’ve experienced a few bad date nights by going to the wrong movie or picking a cringe TV show to watch. Fortunately, you’re covered here and with the first-look at The Rock a.k.a. Dwayne Johnson’s Black Adam trailer? My goodness, we’re all in for a treat.
Date night approved! Of course whenever you’re dealing with the Predator franchise, you have to have realistic expectations. Blood. Gore. Action. Some cheesy but fun acting. Non-stop adventure. If you can handle those elements, then seeing the new Prey trailer will make you smile.
For the record, I have not watched Hulu’s The Princess yet but my goodness does it have all the makings of an exciting, must-see flick. Give it up to Joey King for leading the way and holy smokes, hardly 30 seconds into the trailer and it’s all types of craziness.
At this point, you should have the confidence in knowing when it comes to movies? I deliver like LeBron James - well, you know, during those championship-run seasons, of course. So when there’s a new movie coming together and gearing to drop in the form of this awesome-looking Guidance? Please believe I am going to make a public plea to review and most likely secure talent for an interview - right?
If you’re looking for a reason to stay inside and load up the Uber Eats app with bae? Look no further than The Terminal List on Prime Video and slated to arrive come July 1.
30 years have come and gone for most folks but there’s no bigger celebration on deck than geeking out over the Blu-ray - first-ever, too - release of BOOMERANG this June 28. The ultimate Date Night-approved legendary flick is gearing up to invade your physical collection.
Going off of a hunch much? Of course. It’s not always a guarantee when it comes to seeing movie trailers but there’s something special brewing with the upcoming Elvis movie. Ahead of seeing it and giving the official rundown, all signs point to this being a go-to for you and bae.
As in you might actually catch a few zzz’s during the movie but surprising, Liam Neeson’s Memory is worth linking up with bae to see on the big screen. There’s some plot twists, over the top action sequences and a storyline you can appreciate for the sake of getting Neeson in his cinematic bag.
Low-key? I can’t spill any key details or provide a full review of Escape The Field until the embargo is lifted later this week, but my goodness if May 6th can’t come soon enough for the world to get a look at Escape The Field. In the meantime, settle for a teaser scene from the new Emerson Moore directed movie starring actress Jordan Claire Robbins.
