All in Date Night or Nahhh...
Need a reason to get even more excited about the new Scream VI movie? How about Paramount Pictures’ newest teaser clip and look at the newest Ghostface.
At this point, Disney+ is looking responsible for taking over the Netflix and chill hashtag and becoming the top notch streaming service in the game. So of course the momentum isn’t slowing down anytime soon with ‘The Mandalorian’ season three gearing up to premiere March 1.
Low-key and high-key? There’s nothing more impressive on a date night than popping in a 4K Ultra HD flick with bae alongside. Everyone has become way too comfortable with the streaming services so when you can impress your boo with some mind-blowing high-definition cinematic appeal? It’s a game-changing experience. So of course Devotion arriving February 28 on 4K Ultra HD and Blu-ray is a pretty big deal.
Forget needing a new movie or TV show, French Montana’s new Coke Boys 6: Money Heist Edition mixtape is going all types of cinematic with a new action-packed trailer.
Keeping it 100? You can only take so much over the top superhero flicks. There comes a point when you need a well-written, emotionally-driven drama packed with so many twists and turns you’re glued to the screen to the final scene. This is exactly what’s being served up from the looks of the upcoming A Lot Of Nothing movie trailer.
20 years later and CHICAGO remains an all-time classic. The Academy Award-winning production ignited the culture and needless to say, in 2023 it’s still a Date Night-approved no-brainer. So finding out there’s a limited edition Blu-ray SteelBook arriving in time for Valentine’s Day? YES!
Ready for the Wu-Tang to fully unite and take over the rap game? Look no further than Hulu’s new ‘Wu-Tang: An American Saga’ season three trailer. Needless to say - this is worthy of a Date Night with bae.
It’s getting harder and harder to justify dropping over $50 on a movie night with bae. As you have come to rely on me to dish out the movies worth heading out to see with bae, logic and streaming giants combined keep proving you can cut that cost in half - if not more - with a take-out pizza and some wine - or Coca-Cola, whichever you prefer - and enjoy a night of streaming Black Panther: Wakanda Forever on your Burrow couch.
Spoiler? This is easily a Date Night-approved movie. Easy. It’s vintage and modern at the same time and what better way to push for a Date Night than giving select folks in select cities some select House Party early screening passes for free-99? Sound select enough?
Not as impressed with the first Knives Out flick, the Glass Onion follow-up was definitely fun and enjoyable - despite a pretty long runtime. But while I’ll go ahead and get the Date Night-approved out of the way here, it’s more about what Netflix has been serving up lately.
Need something different in your TV viewing? Just load up Netflix’s ‘Kaleidoscope.’ The series hits hard and off watching my first episode last night - episode 3, ‘Green,’ - I am immediately hooked.
Low-key? I made a promise to myself to really step up my movie and of course Date Night-related goals in 2023. For nearly the past year and definitely in past years I was committed to seeing every movie hitting AMC Theaters - you know, A-List life and all - so whether it was Halloween Ends or - cringe moment - Paw Patrol, I thought it was my duty as a cinematic head to see everything. That’s done-done, especially as of November 2022. But my goodness, I am caving in on M3gan.
I know, I’m late-late but keeping it 100? The ‘Gangs of London’ series on AMC and AMC+ is must-see. There are shows which are really good but the way this delivers the United Kingdom appeal with dabs of John Wick style action?
To keep it 100? Three-plus hours is a very long time in the movie theater. No matter how much you’re loving a flick with bae, it’s a lot of time and effort to be positioned watching a flick. In comparison? An hour or so longer and you’d practically have matched a flight from Newark International Airport to Los Angeles International Airport.
Happy endings, anyone? It’s all coming down to a final, explosive season six for ‘Snowfall.
Without even going to see it yet? It’s an immediate Date Night-approved flick. Babylon has all the makings of what an ideal Date Night movie should be. Star power. Compelling storyline. A little and lot of wildness. Fun. Fun. Fun.
There’s no denying how much anticipation there is for Margot Robbie and a star-studded cast to grace the big screen in the new Barbie movie. So this massive must-see trailer has Date Night written all over it.
Just when you thought they would chill out for a minute? Turns out the cameras kept rollin following this year’s massive Scream V success. The immediate follow-up goes even darker and scarier for the next Date Night outing.
Is it June 2023 yet? Turns out the wait is slightly extended for the world to get to see Spider-Man: Across The Spider-Verse on the big screen but with everyone shaping up their dating goals up through the colder months, it might be for the best.
Low-key and high-key? I’ve never watched the Night at the Museum flicks - like, ever - but just like anything in the classic category, I’ve seen enough clips and scenes to know how epic of a franchise Ben Stiller's movies are. So of course fast-forwarding to 2022 and seeing the popular 2000’s films turned into a fun, unexpected and included in your Disney+ subscription perk in the form of Night at the Museum: Kahmunrah Rises Again? Money in the bank.
