21 Savage's 7th annual Issa Back 2 School Drive has everyone smiling

Atlanta rapper 21 Savage is all about the kids. The hip-hop superstar knows how to make a child big happy about hitting the books - especially in style - and proves it with his annual Issa Back 2 School Drive.

The 7th annual get together had everything you could imagine in his Decatur, Georgia hometown. Sponsored by Amazon Music, Warner Chappell Music, PGA, Dick’s Sporting Goods, Foot Locker Atlanta, Five Below and Champions - thousands of kids received the ultimate stashes with the school year lined up. Grammy award winning rapper 21 Savage and his Leading By Example Foundation hosted his 7th annual “Issa Back 2 School Drive” yesterday in his hometown of Decatur, GA. Savage gifted over 2,000 students with school supplies to get them excited for the upcoming school year.

21 Savage gifted to over two thousand young students and families school supplies and services including backpacks, sneakers, haircuts, hair braiding, notebooks, headphones, uniforms and shoes ahead of the upcoming 2022-23 school year. Savage also distributed custom financial literacy education handbooks to every student.

This back-to-school drive comes on the heels of the success of Savage’s national Bank Account at HomeExtension of this Financial Literacy Campaign which originally launched in March of 2018 with educational non-profit organization Get Schooled. Due to the impact of  Covid-19, 21 Savage took his successful campaign online by launching his national “Bank Account at Home” Chime X 21 Savage initiative launched in July 2020, offering free financial literacy lessons to youth nationwide in response to the COVID-19 pandemic. https://www.chime.com/21savage/. He continued his support of underserved youth in Atlanta by making a $25,000 donation to the City of Atlanta’s #ATLStrong COVID-19 relief fund, established by Atlanta Mayor Keisha Lance Bottoms.

And just in case you need more details on both 21 Savage’s foundation and Amazon Music?
