MoRuf: It's giving 'Spike Lee Was My Hero' vibes from the Brooklyn Museum

Spoiler alert? Easily one of my all-time favorite films - ever - remains Do The Right Thing. So whether it’s having New York rap artist Skyzoo’s ‘Spike Lee Was My Hero’ on a workout playlist or seeing hip-hop musician MoRuf embracing the iconic film from the Brooklyn Museum, I’m tapped in.

It’s all eyes on Mo and he knows it. Swiping is for keeping Radio Raheem’s memory alive forever.

Forever a Student.

If you know me you then know how much Spike means to me. His movies have molded the way in which I look at the world and plays a huge role in my overall appreciation for film and the genre of Jazz. What he’s done for the culture and continues to do can not be explained in one post. From his ability to include music , fashion, & truth within his film so effortlessly in his own unique way. All I can say is thank you spike. Your inspiration reigns supreme. You are the blueprint..Truly a living legend and hero of mine.
