NCIS: LA season 13 and Blue Bloods: season 12 headed to DVD this summer

Who doesn’t enjoy some popular primetime television in the form of ‘NCIS: LA’ and ‘Blue Bloods’ right? Easily a couple of the most popular long-running shows in the game, both have their latest seasons gearing up to drop well in time for the summer goals and those way-too-hot-to-be-outside days to come in August.

While the details are still coming together, ‘NCIS: LA’ is geared up and locked in for an August 23 drop with its 13th season and a week later, August 30, you can pencil in ‘Blue Bloods: Season 12’ to arrive - both on DVD, of course.

Because if there’s one thing I’ve personally come to learn during these hot summers, it’s sometimes Wi-Fi connections cut off, traveling happens and a few other random instances which require the good ol’ reliable need for a secure bulletproof solution - the physical copies, of course.

NCIS: Los Angeles - The 13th Season:

Golden Globe® Award nominee Chris O’Donnell (“Scent of a Woman”) and Emmy® Award nominee LL Cool J (“Lip Synch Battle”) return to their notable roles as G.Callen and Sam Hanna when NCIS: LOS ANGELES: THE THIRTEENTH SEASON arrives on DVD on August 23. The team includes the all-knowing Henrietta “Hetty” Lange, who handles the politics of the job and is tasked with providing everything from micro-surveillance cameras to cars for the team; Special Agent Kensi Blye, the exceptionally bright daughter of a slain Marine who lives for the adrenaline rush that comes with undercover work; Marty Deeks, a seasoned LAPD undercover detective who has become an NCIS Special Agent; Fatima Namazi, a Middle East specialist and a razor-sharp cryptologist; and former FBI Agent Devin Rountree, whose unique upbringing, discipline and athletic ability are a welcomed addition to the team. Working with them, and keeping the team on their toes, is Retired Admiral Hollis Kilbride. Blue Bloods: The 12th Season:

The police procedural drama BLUE BLOODS: THE TWELFTH SEASON arrives on DVD on August 30. Starring Emmy® and Golden Globe® Award winner Tom Selleck (“Magnum P.I.”) and Emmy® nominee Donnie Wahlberg (“Wahlburgers”), the five-disc collection includes every action-packed episode, as well as exclusive bonus content. BLUE BLOODS is a drama about a multi-generational family of cops dedicated to New York City law enforcement. Frank Reagan is the New York Police Commissioner, and heads both the police force and the Reagan brood. He runs his department as diplomatically as he runs his family, even when dealing with the politics that plagued his unapologetically bold father, Henry, during his stint as Chief. A source of pride and concern for Frank is his eldest son, Danny, a seasoned detective, family man and Iraq War vet who on occasion uses dubious tactics to solve cases with his partner, Detective Maria Baez. Erin, the middle daughter, is a New York Assistant D.A. who serves as the legal compass for her siblings and father. Jamie is the youngest Reagan, a Harvard Law graduate and the family’s “golden boy.” Unable to deny the family tradition, Jamie decided to give up a lucrative future in law and follow in the family footsteps as a cop. He’s found a friend and ally in his wife, Eddie, who keeps him on his toes, and has very different reasons than the Reagans for joining the police force.
