Netflix's 'Resident Evil' is either going to be really good or really bad

It’s hard to bank on any series or any movie these days. Those which look amazing sometimes have the bar set too high and the sleepers end up reaching Cloverfield-type popularity or even go as far as a ‘Squid Game’ takeover. Needless to say, the new Netflix ‘Resident Evil’ trailer has so much promise you can’t help but hold your breath, even for just a little bit.

Just as the ‘Halo’ series had promise and leaned more toward the cheesy side of life than an epic cinematic show, the initial thought of looking at this trailer has a ton of high hopes but until July 14 arrives, it might just be more finger crossing than anything.
