Ode Broham: The energy level 'BayBae' deserves ample replays

Who says the summer is officially over? Technically fall hasn’t arrived and putting on hip-hop artist Ode Broham’s new ‘BayBae’ anthem? It’s all types of sunny vibes and vacay goals.

Just add in Jean-Luc on the vocal assist? Tough. Toast to the endless summer vibes.

Originally sketched out in 2020, "BayBae" began its journey as a beat and a hook, before a recording session with horn player, Zachary Durham - AKA Trumpet Kid – breathed more life into it. Broham’s verse was fleshed out the following year, inspired by a romantic getaway to New Orleans while the track’s finishing touch came courtesy of Jean-Luc. The fellow New Yorker was a no-brainer for "BayBae", blending a mix of vocal styles that complement both Broham’s contributions and the production.

That production comes from Drum Fu, who completes the NY triumvirate with a dynamic piano-driven beat, whose energy will keep the spirit of summer alive long after we begin to feel the embrace of fall.

From the smooth uptempo flow of Ode Broham and the infectious switch up of styles from Jean-Luc, to the pulsating rhythm and horn-flecked production from Drum Fu, BayBae is the ideal closer for the summer months and the perfect final step towards the new EP - i need a vacation.
