Rasheed Chappell is a seasoned, veteran emcee who plays a foundational role in the underground Hip-Hop scene. He's known for his vivid wordplay and storytelling abilities (the way he's able to paint pictures through his language is genius). This is showcased through his collaborations with fellow TRUST Gang artists like 38 Spesh, a standout performance on "Midnight Sunday" off of HOT97 host Peter Rosenberg’s 2021 compilation album Real Late, and his impressive string of albums, each produced entirely by a different producer ranging from Buckwild to Apollo Brown to The Arcitype on the forthcoming Sugar Bills.
As a product of the traditional Hip-Hop music that thrived in the genre’s Golden Era, Rasheed combines his spirited wordplay and constant evolution in order to consistently remain in the conversation. Sugar Bills – out next Friday, 9/15, is named after the bar in Passaic, New Jersey that Rasheed and his day-one friend would sneak into as young kids in order to catch a glimpse of the local adult interactions. By re-visiting the old bar through modern music, Rasheed is embracing his old-meets-new viewpoint.
