Spotify put proper respect on Nigo's name with Pharrell and Pusha T
Who doesn't love Nigo at this point? The iconic fashion game-changer and founder of BAPE had proper respect placed on his name in celebration of his I Know NIGO studio album rollout. Streaming giant Spotify pulled through in epic fashion with a decked-out event.
Check out the full details of how much fun the celebration turned out to be and scroll a little further to peep a couple pics courtesy of Spotify to see how things looked, too.
Spotify and its flagship hip-hop playlist, RapCaviar hosted an exclusive celebration for Nigo’s newly released album, I Know NIGO!. Spotify took over interior designer Kelly Wearstler’s stunning, 1920s Beverly Hills estate to create an elevated family cookout. Nigo’s friends, fans, collaborators, and notable guests came together to celebrate the project in a proper family reunion.
The highlight of the evening came when the man of honor himself took to the DJ booth for a surprise set. Nigo and long-time friend and album collaborator Pusha T took to the stage to perform songs from the album including “Diet Coke,” “Punch Bowl,” “Hear Me Clearly,” and “Morë Tonight,” while Pharrell Williams surprised the crowd with a performance of “Beautiful.”
“This project has been a long time coming, and a true dream come true, bringing together some of my closest friends on the album,” says Nigo. “Spotify has been a great partner in my musical journey and I couldn't have imagined a better way to celebrate the release with them, along with my close friends Pharrell, Pusha T and biggest fans. We had an epic time!”
Notable guests include Pharrell Williams and wife Helen Lasichanh, Pusha T, Snowfall actor Damson Idris, Bel-Air star Coco Jones, Kelly Wearstler, DJ Kerwin Frost, DJ Domo, plus Beau Casper Smart, Austin Millz, actor TravQue and artist 24kGoldn among others.
The album completely hits hard and is one of the only projects to have every single song land onto the Attack The Culture Non-Stop Grind Spotify playlist. Kick back and check out the project.
