May has finally arrived and while we’re weeks away from EA Sports’ F1 24 reaching the masses, it’s all eyes on the new final gameplay deep dive focusing on the circuit and driver improvements plus more enhancements designed to level up the in-game realism and immersion.
In other words? It’s all types of must-see with F1 24 dropping Friday, May 31.
The development team significantly reworked fan-favorite tracks like Silverstone and Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps for authentic circuit accuracy. Fans will now feel every bump, kerb, and elevation change at the home of the British GP, and enjoy the new reprofiled sections of the Belgian track. Updates have also been made to the Lusail International Circuit and Jeddah Corniche Circuit, bringing them in line with their real-world counterparts.
F1 24 will also feature enhanced realism with the introduction of new in-race driver audio taken from real-world F1 broadcasts, and more varied cutscenes. In addition, the cars of all 10 teams have been meticulously recreated using detailed CAD data, coupled with Ray-Traced Dynamic Diffuse Global Illumination technology to enhance lighting, shadows, and reflections. Advancements in 2024 also include improved driver appearances, thanks to full hair rendering and improved eye and skin shaders. More Icons are available than ever before, including Pastor Maldonado, Jamie Chadwick, and, exclusive to F1 24 Champions Edition, 1976 champion James Hunt, and 7x race winner Juan Pablo Montoya. Plus, for the first time, players can embark on a full Driver Career as one of the Icons or hire them as teammates in My Team mode.

Need even more reasons to geek out over the upcoming EA Sports F1 24 drop? Look no further than the buzz and hype surrounding the second Deep Dive video for F1 24 centered on its Career Mode getting the biggest upgrade in nearly 10 years.
It’s all in the details and my goodness - the video is razor sharp. More hype coming in the next few days. Tap in.
Today, EA SPORTS revealed the second Deep Dive video for F1 24, covering Career Mode, which has received its most significant upgrade since 2016. Codemasters has evolved its approach to Driver Career, introducing a single-player experience reflecting the real-world challenges faced by F1 drivers. For the first time, players can take the title fight through the eyes of current F1 season stars, promising F2 talent, or build upon the legacy of iconic drivers like Ayrton Senna and Michael Schumacher.
The new Career Mode is powered by the Driver Recognition system, which gives more weight to every decision made on and off the track. Much like the real world, as a player’s reputation grows, so do opportunities, with the potential for participating in secret contract meetings, securing offers from other teams, and having a more motivated Research and Development team. This mode also introduces a new, unique twist with accolades, long-term milestones tied to the sport and to each driver based on real-world achievements. Starting as a custom driver gives players a blank slate, with accolades earned as they progress, while choosing to play as one of the pros will prompt challenges based on their real-life achievements.
The Two-Player Career Mode includes all the new single-player features, and Challenge Career offers a new way to compete and experience F1 24, featuring shorter, bite-sized scenarios that change throughout the year. Challenge Career puts players into the shoes of an existing driver and team, with events that are identical for all players and determined by player voting.
You can check out the deep dive video HERE and read more about Career Mode HERE. Stay tuned for the next F1 24deep dive, which will premiere on April 29, offering an in-depth look at gameplay.
