There’s lots of animal things going on these days but there’s something brewing with Blacksad: Under the Skin. Playing as a detective kitty cat? Ah man. It’s wild.

Or how about skipping TV shows and movies for gaming goals? Turns out PlayStation’s most expensive tier - Premium - might finally start caving into the expectations.

Horizon Forbidden West is must-play goals with school and work back-back

It’s back to school time, and this is one of the few times I won’t be talking to you about the world of professional wrestling. I am also a pretty big gamer as well. Enter Horizon Forbidden West.

It’s back to school time, and this is one of the few times I won’t be talking to you about the world of professional wrestling. I am also a pretty big gamer as well. Enter Horizon Forbidden West.

With school starting up for everyone this just means gaming time is about to become another priority. Sorry parents, but we were their age too, and gaming is BIGGER now than it was when we were hopping on the controls to throw down in Madden, Halo, CoD or whatever your vice was at the time.

Which brings me to, Horizon Forbidden West. The sequel to the smash hit Horizon Zero Dawn. Forbidden West is the continuation of the story revolving around Aloy and the post-apocalyptic life with the extinction of almost everything because of the creation of artificial intelligence. Nemesis, the main antagonist, is the result of A.I going rogue. The story of Aloy and trying to save the world from extinction is what draws you in. Everything else around the story itself is incredible.

For my next gen gamers, Forbidden West is a PlayStation exclusive. SO, I hate to say it to you Xbox gamers, this one is not in your realm. The graphics are amazing. The visual experience of Horizon was already top quality, but add in the PS5 quality and the 4K technology, this is an experience unlike any game out currently. God of War: Ragnarök is coming, yes, but right now, the game to get you through this first part of the semester, is Horizon: Forbidden West.

The game allows you to dictate the level of challenge. For my folks who just want a good story with the combat not being as much a focal point, the game allows you to do so. For my folks who want the full experience of just out of this world challenge, the game caters to you as well. The robot dinosaurs are still alive and well throughout the game, and the boss fights require different strategies from the original. The world is so massive, and there is so much to unlock in this sequel.

Work this game into your routine with the new Madden or FIFA. I promise you won’t be disappointed. Aloy is the truth! Get out there and play the adventure of the summer Horizon Forbidden West
