Everything great about the Spider-Man Miles Morales game
In 2018, we got the super iconic Marvel’s Spider-Man, which was centered, around a 23-year-old Peter Parker who has spent 8 years being a very seasoned Spider-Man. However, throughout the game, there is a lot that Peter has to go through, which includes him going head-on against the Sinister Six. At the end of the game, we see that his protégé, Miles Morales, is bit by a radioactive spider as well, foreshadowing that Miles will become Spider-Man as well.

In 2020, we finally got a spin-off that is dedicated to Miles himself. Before leaving for a work trip to Europe, Peter trains Miles so that he could be responsible enough to protect New York from potential threats. If you wish to play the game, you can purchase and download it right now from the PlayStation Store. However, you need to make sure that you have a fast enough internet connection at home that could download and install the game as fast as possible and is also easy on your budget. It would be a smart idea to look into Spectrum Internet Plans for that matter.
Coming back to Miles Morales, we thought we could point out some of the key differences and development that we saw in Miles Morales as compared to the 2018 Spider-Man.
1. Slightly Difficult Combat
We don’t know if anyone else noticed or not but Miles Morales had a slightly more difficult combat as compared to 2018’s Spider-Man. This could partly be because of the additional powers that Miles has which Insomniac wanted us to use to their maximum benefit. As Miles fights his way through Roxxon Agents and The Underground, he unlocks new powers that he needs to use to his advantage. Plus, the enemies are a lot more aggressive and don’t show mercy toward Miles at all.
At first, you might have a hard time fighting through the enemies but once you get the gist of the combat, it’ll be more like a breeze. Playing the game at the balanced “Amazing” level is hard; we can hardly imagine what the game will be like on the “Spectacular” level, which is the highest one.
2. Changing the Time of Day on Command
In the previous Spider-Man, you had to travel to an Oscorp Research Station where you could change the time of day. However, that isn’t the case in Miles Morales, you can change it whenever you want. All you have to do is to head to the pause menu and go to settings. Once you are there, not only can you change the time of day but you can also change the weather as well. You can choose between having Day, Night, Sunset, and Overcast. You can change the weather to Clear, Light Snow, or Heavy Snow.
Do keep in mind that you need to clear the main story before you can unlock this option. Once you are done with the story, the option will automatically unlock and you can make your gameplay even more aesthetic than it was before.
3. The Addition of Venom Powers
When we say “Venom” powers, we aren’t talking about the symbiote that we’re expecting to see in Spider-Man 2. In fact, we are talking about the bioelectric powers that Miles has which is exclusive to just him and not Peter. The reason why Miles calls them Venom powers is because they sting like a Spider’s venom would. Not only can Miles use these powers in combat but he can also use them for traversal purposes, for instance, he can use them for a boost in speed while swinging or he could use them as a boost to gain altitude as well.
Once you do figure out how to use these powers, you can make the most out of Miles as Spider-Man, just be sure to use these powers as much as you can. You can not only attack individuals with these powers but you can attack groups of people as well.
4. The Interesting Touch of Camouflage
Not only can Miles use venom powers but he also can turn invisible! That’s right, you get a short time window where you can go invisible and you can attack enemies by surprise. You can use camouflage to escape excessive combat and damage and you can use stealth after that as well. You just need to be smart about when to use venom powers and when to use camouflage. Once you master that, the whole combat situation would be at your fingertips and you would be able to defeat enemies as flawlessly as possible!
Wrapping Up
There were a lot of new things that we got to see in Miles Morales, and that just got us prepared for the upcoming, highly-anticipated Spider-Man 2 coming October this year! Not only will we be able to play as Peter Parker but we will be able to play with Miles Morales as well and we can’t contain our excitement!
