The S.O.G. Crew: Crooner Sean Kingston comes through on 'Shawty Fighting Fentanyl'

Need to get a message delivered? Look no further than hip-hop crew The S.O.G. Crew dropping ‘Shawty Fighting Fentanyl’ with veteran crooner Sean Kingston on the tune, too.

It’s all about self-awareness and pushing for fueling the recovery goals around the world. Tap in.

The S.O.G. Crew Hip-Hop Movement from Anaheim, California just released a new song titled ‘Shawty Fighting Fentanyl” in an effort to reach the recovery movement and encourage people throughout the United States, Native American Communities, Alaskan Native Communities, and people around the world who are fighting addictions to return toward a normal and healthy lifestyle.

The new track features Jamaican-American rapper and singer Sean Kingston, whose 2007 debut single, "Beautiful Girls", reached the top spot on the Billboard Hot 100. Sean has collaborated with some of the biggest names in music, including Justin Beiber on “Eenie Meenie” and Chris Brown, Nicki Minaj and Wiz Khalifa.

Listen to “Shawty Fighting Fentanyl” now:

“Shawty Fighting Fentanyl” was written to raise the awareness of the dangers of Fentanyl and the Opioid epidemic that plagues people around the world. In 2023, 97,000 people in the US died by Fentanyl and other opioids.

The S.O.G. Crew’s lead man, Dr. Robert “Battle Ax” Ornelas, is partnering with schools, community and cultural centers, students & parents, law enforcement agencies, and mental health and recovery organizations as a keynote speaker to support the families that are grieving the loss of loved ones from Fentanyl.

“I am grateful for the opportunity to do this song, featuring Sean Kingston,” states Orneles. “I have been involved in the fight against Fentynal for years and have recently lost family and friends to this powerful and addictive drug. It is my moral obligation to express my opinion on this matter throughout urban communities in the United States and the world.”

The S.O.G. Crew has partnered with Anno Domini Nation LLC and Holy Toledo Productions LLC to make this Sean Kingston Fentanyl Awareness song project come to pass. The song was mastered by Chief engineer Gene “The Machine” Grimaldi at Oasis Mastering in Burbank, California, who has worked with an impressive list of artists, including Lady Gaga, Jennifer Lopez, Nicki Minaj, Akon and many others.

The S.O.G. Crew is set to release another new song on March 15, 2024, featuring rap icon Snoop Dogg titled “Sunshine”. The song will be distributed by Thump Records/Universal Music Group and will highlight the newest members of The S.O.G. Crew Hip Hop Movement, Lindsey Knudsen from Adelanto, CA, and Harley Schwartz, AKA Slim Chances, from Minneapolis, Minnesota.
