The Three Stooges: The iconic trio have their own limited-edition talking bobbleheads coming

Low-key? I beyond love The Three Stooges - I’m talking every Saturday night from 6 PM - 8 PM having them playing on MeTV - so finding out the National Bobblehead Hall of Fame and Museum are launching a limited-edition set in honor of the iconic Curly’s birthday this year? Holy smokes.

It’s all in the details and needless to say I’m insanely pumped. Peep the deets.

This morning, the National Bobblehead Hall of Fame and Museum unveiled an officially licensed, limited-edition series of The Three Stooges Talking Bobbleheads featuring Moe, Larry, Curly, and Shemp. The unveiling coincides with Curly’s birthday, which was on October 22nd, 1903.  Each bobblehead is unique in capturing the comedic stylings of the beloved slapstick comedy team. The special edition bobbleheads were produced by the National Bobblehead Hall of Fame and Museum, licensed from C3 Entertainment, the company founded by the Three Stooges themselves, Moe Howard, Larry Fine and Curly Joe DeRita.

Bearing their name on the base, each talking Three Stooges bobblehead, which plays a familiar saying at the touch of a button, is unique in capturing the comedic stylings of the beloved slapstick comedy team. Each bobblehead is individually numbered to 2,024, and they are available through the National Bobblehead Hall of Fame and Museum’s Online Store. The bobbleheads, which are expected to ship in early December, are $35 each or $135 for the set of four plus a flat-rate shipping charge of $8 per order.

Known for their physical farce and slapstick humor, The Three Stooges began as part of a vaudeville comedy act in the 1920’s. From 1934 to 1959, The Three Stooges starred in 190 pictures and then made six hit feature films in the 1960’s.

The Three Stooges are best remembered for some of their most popular sayings including “Why I oughta …,” “You knucklehead,” “Oh, a wise guy, eh?” and “Nyuk Nyuk Nyuk!”. The Three Stooges have remained popular over 60 years since their last short film was released. At the beginning of the 21st century, The Three Stooges remained in the public eye through television reruns and the merchandising of their images on commercial products. The original all new movie, “The Three Stooges,” starring a new cast, was released in 2012.

“We are thrilled to release these bobbleheads of the iconic Three Stooges,” National Bobblehead Hall of Fame and Museum co-founder and CEO Phil Sklar said. “For decades, the Stooges have brought smiles and laughter to the faces of young and old around the world with their physical brand of slapstick comedy. These bobbleheads will be must-haves for fans of the Stooges!”
