Yhapojj: The ‘No Ceilings’ mixtape completely salutes Lil Wayne

Love all things Yhapojj? Then it’s a no-brainer a newly released No Ceilings mixtape demands your full attention.

The songs go hard and how about the signature production, too? An ode to the living legend Lil Wayne? I’m completely here for this.

On the heels of releasing his highly-anticipated project Before T.L.Y., the Huntsville rapper Yhapojj, who has been hailed by Rolling Stone as the future of music in 2024 and is one of Simple Stupid Records' premier acts, has just shared his new mixtape No Ceilings––out now via Simple Stupid Records. The title is an ode to the classic 2009 mixtape by Lil Wayne, who has been a major influence on Yhapojj, and continues Yhapojj's tradition of releasing a mixtape each December. Mainly produced by dcm and tylo, the 10-track mixtape No Ceilings is a declaration of victory following a tremendous year for Yhapojj––his third full-length release this year following Before T.LY. (Thanks Li Yhap), which dropped less than a month ago, and this spring's critically-acclaimed P.S. Fuck You (6.9 from Pitchfork). No Ceilings comes equipped with Yhapojj's signature serenadingdelivery paired with the woozy production that fans have come to adore and is a testament to the 2024 breakout rapper's undying work ethic and determination.

Since his Apple Music ‘Top Albums’ charting EP Evolution of Xur, Yhapojj has ascended through the ranks of Hip-Hop’s new wave, being named one of OGM’s ‘Artists to Watch in 2024’. In 2024 he developed his live presence through a run of sold-out of shows in Atlanta, Los Angeles, and New York (where he brought out Trippie Redd and performed alongside artists like Bear1Boss and Marlon DuBois), as well as Restless Fest. Ahead of releasing Before T.LY., Yhapojj shared a flurry of singles, including a collab with Nino Paid on "Moshpit", which was praised by both Pitchfork andStereogum. With P.S. Fuck You, Before T.LY., and now No Ceilings, Yhapojj is continuing to push the boundaries of what Hip-Hop can sound like with his idiosyncratic, melody-driven sound and refreshing emotional vulnerability.
