YouTube's 'Lifting Voices... Strong' is your go-to Black History Month playlist

Give it up to the biggest video platform in the game these days - sorry TikTok - and YouTube’s emphasis on making sure this Black History Month gets started off on the right foot with some purely amazing sounds. YouTube’s new Lifting Voices… Strong is nearly 4 hours of amazing sounds from some of the culture’s most iconic musicians from Nas, J. Cole and Kendrick Lamar to the legendary JAY-Z, Angela Davis, Nina Simone and Martin Luther King Jr.

Check out the official details and don’t forget to head over to YouTube Music for the endless rundown.

Youtube has launched a series of programmed playlists in the YouTube Music app themed around expressions of the Black experience. Today, we begin with Lifting Voices…Strong, an uplifting selection of songs celebrating strong voices in Black culture and history. Each week, Youtube will launch a new themed playlist, all of which will be housed on the Celebrating Black History Shelf on the Home tab of the YouTube Music app through the month of February.
