Karri: The new 'lemonade' Hi N'Fly' is all you need to get your Monday started right-right

Low-key and high-key? I go at an extremely fast pace in life but hearing an anthem like Karri’s new ‘lemonade’ tune? Love goals all over again? Add in the Hi N’Fly version? I’m ready to go half on a baby.

Whoa dere - I know I’m geeking out too heavy but hearing this tune, you can’t help but smile and get those warm, fuzzy feelings all over your body. Happy Monday!

Geffen Records and PFL are thrilled to announce the forthcoming release of two singles from fast-rising R&B star and multi-instrumentalist, Karri. The twenty-year-old Filipino American singer-songwriter is one of the most exciting new voices in contemporary music. Today, Karri releases the fan favorite “lemonade,” a heartfelt rendition of the Jeremy Passion tearjerker, produced by Hokage Simon, William Van Zandt, and No Love For The Middle Child. Karri says the ballad means a lot to him and that he often performs it during his live show. “I’ve loved that song since elementary school,” he confesses. “My cousins used to play this song all the time— I used to play it on the ukulele and sing it to all the girls in school.”

Karri has quietly made a name for himself with his “Lo’ N Slo’" brand of R&B. He cites Drake, The-Dream, and Sampha as influences. In early 2023, the San Francisco native released "3AM in Oakland," which quickly went viral on Tik Tok and Instagram Reels, rapidly expanding the artist’s fan base and capturing the industry’s attention.

The following week on September 29, Karri will release his alluring lead single, “can u?,” produced by Clockwork, Tommy Parker, with additional production from himself and Thomas Madynski. Karri, a multi-instrumentalist who also plays piano and saxophone, says he goes through a roller coaster of emotions in the song. “It’s about receiving the same energy you’re giving.” he explains.
