Baby Tate gives words of wisdom to broken heart women with her 'Do Better' visualizer

It’s a celebration for Baby Tate. Fresh from putting her Mani/Pedi album out to the masses, she comes through with the visualizer for her new ‘Do Better’ anthem.

It’s all about no longer putting too much energy or effort into a lame and going to greener pastures with her newest anthem. Peep the details and keep scrolling to her Baby Tate let loose self-awareness and motivation to her peers.

Baby Tate rolls out Mani/Pedi, a 14-track mixtape that cements the Atlanta multi-hyphenate as one of rap’s foremost advocates of self-love. The ambitious record, which boasts features from 2 Chainz, Kali, and Slim Wav, finds Baby Tate documenting the full spectrum of her relationships — including the one she has with herself.

Mani/Pedi explores duality and the dichotomy of Baby Tate’s personality. At times, the rising rapper is navigating the blurred lines of love and sex, as she does so memorably on What’s Love? and Sl*t Him Out Again.” Elsewhere, Baby Tate embraces her petty side. On “Pedi,” a Miami Bass-inspired track, for example, shows just how far she’s willing to go for revenge. “Somebody finna cry if it don’t go my way,” she raps.

Baby Tate’s main goal, however, remains empowering women and femmes as she does on the feel-good anthem, Yasss Queen.” Her new single, Ain’t No Love (featuring 2 Chainz),” is similarly inspiring as she enjoys a night at the club on her own terms. With nods to both Ciara and Usher, the upbeat track doubles as a love letter to Y2K/R&B. On Mani/Pedi, Baby Tate showcases her vocal chops like never before while sharing her best characteristics and flaws with equal pride.

“Mani/Pedi is more than just something you ask your nail tech for. It’s more than just R&B and Rap." Baby Tate shares. "To me, it’s a symbol of life. The yin & the yang, the good & the evil, the light & the dark. With this project, I hope to shed a light on the importance of duality and finding the balance within us all.”

The eclectic artist has been fusing pop, rap, and R&B since the release of her 2015 debut project, ROYGBIV, as well as 2019’s acclaimed GIRLS, and 2021’s After the Rain. When Baby Tate isn’t living in her own technicolor universe, she’s collaborating with her contemporaries like LAYA on the genre-bending “Sailor Moon 2.0” and JID on the 21 Savage-assisted “Surround Sound.” It’s no wonder Rolling Stone wrote that she “manifested herself to success.”

Known for her lyrical prowess and buzz-worthy bars, Baby Tate lets loose a ferocious and fiery freestyle at the 2022 BET Hip-Hop Awards, airing October 4 on BET. Now with Mani/Pedi, Baby Tate cements her status as one of Atlanta’s hottest new stars with the kind of songs that can make you dance, fall in love, and feel seen—often all at the same time.
