DeepCut with VicBlends: Big Sean pulls through for an hour-plus Q&A dishing on his entire career
Do you have an hour to spare? Well, how about an hour and nearly five minutes? Turns out rap veteran Big Sean has plenty to dish on and proves it appearing on the ‘DeepCut with VicBlends’ broadcast.
From music-making and family goals to talking about his appreciation for meditation, it’s all types of enjoyment and learning going down here. Completely tap in.
In this exclusive interview, Vic has Big Sean in the barber's chair for a vulnerable conversation in which they talk about everything from his upbringing in Detroit, how he first met Ye, his past struggles with burnout, creating healthier habits, his love for his mom, writing his first book, his new album, and several words of wisdom to keep in mind when faced with adversity.
During the conversation, Big Sean also opened up about his past experiences with overcoming Adderall addiction, sharing -
"I remember walking into a studio and feeling like I couldn't do anything without it. That's when I knew I had an issue, that's when I knew I had a problem. I was like ok, I need to immediately stop this. I cold turkey stopped it... I had to fall back from everything. I had to stop what I was doing and I had to start connecting with myself again spiritually because I completely fell off of that. I really got back into my meditations heavily and I surrounded myself with mentors that helped me connect with myself more."
DeepCut officially launched this April and has had some incredible guests for the first season including Tom Brady, Tony Hawk, Polo G, Noel Miller, Lil Yachty, Shakur Stevenson, Jake Paul, Trae Young, and Sean O'Malley. Produced by Tom Brady's award-winning creative studio Shadow Lion, episodes release biweekly.
