Featuring a sample from hit “Killing Me Softly With His Song” by the Fugees, Montana taps back into his original sound as seen from early mixtape series Coke Wave with Harlem RapperMax B and track “Return of The Mack” produced by legendary hip-hop producer Harry Fraud.
The “Whipp’n It Slowly” music video sets the stage with French Montana and his friends attending the premiere of his new movie showing in theaters: Whipp’n It Slowly. The video cuts from intense action scenes featuringFunk Flex and Ted Smooth, to comedy, and clips of Montana’s life and career, one in particular from his 2020 interview with Drink Champs that also featured T.I. and A$AP Rocky.
Throughout the video, Montana is seen celebrating his film premiere at the theaters in NYC with friends, family, and various people from the industry. As an encore, Montana performs “Whipp’n It Slowly” live to a crowd gathered outside the theater.
