The visual – which was directed by Whipalo – finds Lehla showcasing her dynamic vocals as she treks through Harlem. As the Delaware native travels around New York City, the visual flashes to memories of her serenading her romantic interest on a rooftop setting.
“You Want It” served as a standout from CMG The Label’s “Gangsta Art 2” album that included a mix of dynamic collaborations and solo singles from CMG CEO Yo Gotti and his All-Star roster that includes Samia, Moneybagg Yo, GloRilla, Blac Youngsta, EST Gee, 42 Dugg, Mozzy, Lil Poppa and Big Boogie.
The release of “You Want It” comes after Lehla dropped her “LOVERS WAVE, Vol. 1”EP during the summer. Her six-song EP included the standout song “Care,” which highlighted her jaw-dropping vocals and songwriting abilities. Earlier this year, she also embarked on her first-ever tour, where she opened for Tink on her “Thanks For Everything tour.”
Lehla originally signed to Gotti’s CMG imprint in May 2022, marking the first woman to join the imprint’s ranks and signaling CMG’s expansion into the R&B sector. Shortly after her signing, the songstress appeared on the May 2022 cover of Billboard alongside Gotti and her CMG labelmates, where they were crowned “The Hardest-Working Label In Hip-Hop.”
She burst onto the scene with her label debut single “Call on Me” and with a music video that included cameos from Gotti, Moneybagg Yo and BMF star Lil Meech. Lehla also shined on CMG’s inaugural compilation album “Gangsta Art” with her hypnotizing vocals and collaborated with Gotti, Bagg, Mozzy and 42 Dugg on the title track.
