Peezy & BabyTron: The duo come through slapping with their 'Psilocybin' music video

Peezy and BabyTron for the win? You better believe it. With a much-needed new studio album, Ghetto, officially dropping in a matter of days, it’s only right Peezy comes through correct with a hard-hitting new ‘Psilocybin’ music video with BabyTron pulling through.

The bars go hard but with October here, it’s bloody religious sinning going down in a church setting. Peep the details and start turning up.

The Hip-Hop mogul and rapper who's played a key role in propelling Detroit rap into the mainstream, Peezy, has just announced his new album GHETTO will be releasing on Tuesday, October 10th via Boyz Entertainment / EMPIRE. Along with the announcement, Peezy has also shared a new video single “Psilocybin”, on which he unites with fellow Detroit spitter BabyTron for an energized performance filled with clever bar work and imaginative flexing – “They ain’t let me in the door, I kicked it open / Every time you see me out, I’m fresh as hell, my pockets bulgin’”. The new single serves as a glimpse into Peezy's forthcoming album GHETTO on which he aims to reclaim the word by shining a light on the beautiful aspects of his experiences growing up in the Motor City’s East side. Peezy views GHETTO as his most personal work to date, blending certified street anthems like the lead single “No Amiris” (feat. Key Glock) with more introspective performances that address adversities he’s experienced—all while maintaining his icy demeanor. Out on 10/10, Peezy is looking forward to using GHETTO to deliver more of the blunt sounds of Detroit while leaning into his crafty storytelling abilities.

Following the breakthrough release of ONLY BUILT 4 DIAMOND LINKS last year, which included his RIAA Gold-Certified record “2 Million Up” (125M+ Streams), Peezy has kept his foot on the gas with a steady stream of releases including his GHETTO EP, a joint project with Baltimore’s Yg Teck and now, his forthcoming album GHETTO. Having amassed over 750 Million Global Streams and grown an organic fanbase in Detroit and beyond, Peezy has never been in a better position to seize the moment. With the forthcoming GHETTO, Peezy aims to capitalize on the success of his breakthrough record last year, using the opportunity to shed light on the highs and lows he’s experienced along the way.

Still learning about Peezy’s contributions to the culture? Need to know more? Say less.

Detroit OG Peezy is the Godfather of his city’s buzzing Hip-Hop scene. The rapper, investor, neighborhood philanthropist, and Boyz Entertainment Founder & CEO has played a foundational role in the evolution of his city’s fiery scene. He consistently raps with an icy, unaffected, and cool demeanor – spinning detailed stories from his lived experiences in the streets of Detroit with clever one-liners and sobering truths about the highs and lows of his lifestyle.

After spending years as an underground staple and regional star, Peezy finally seized his moment with his Billboard-charting smash hit “2 Million Up”(125M+ Streams), which peaked at No. 8 on Billboard’s Hip-Hop Charts & is now a RIAA Gold-Certified song. Other notable tracks such as “Build A Bear” (40M Streams), “Rio Flow” (16M+ Streams), “Hustler Vs. Scammer” (14M+ Streams) & others have accumulated millions of views & tens of millions of streams across Peezy’s extensive discography. His breakthrough 2022 album, ONLY BUILT 4 DIAMOND LINKS also received critical acclaim, including high praise from Pitchfork, HipHopDX, The FADER, XXL & more. With each subsequent release – beginning recently with "No Amiris" (feat. Key Glock), "Fashion Week" (feat. Larry June & Money Man) and now "Psilocybin"(feat. BabyTron), Peezy is gearing up to use GHETTO to make his definitive statement – cementing his legacy as a pioneer of Detroit Hip-Hop while staying true to his Motor City roots.
