NLE Choppa & 41: The '41' Orchestra Mix music video is x-rated creativity

Who says you can’t get super Adult with the orchestra music playing? Turns out hip-hop artist NLE Choppa and 41 have you fully covered for their ‘Or What’ music video.

Who says you can’t get super Adult with the orchestra music playing? Turns out hip-hop artist NLE Choppa and 41 have you fully covered for their ‘Or What’ music video.

The song goes hard but getting the orchestra treatment here? Too epic. Completely lose your mind to the flex.

Move over Beethoven—NLE Choppa and 41 just redefined classical music. In the wildly entertaining new video for “Or What (Orchestra Version),” Choppa trades trap beats for timpani and X-rated lyrics for… well, still X-rated lyrics. Backed by a full chamber orchestra, gospel-style backup singers, and a hilariously overworked conductor, this new rendition of Choppa’s hit single is both a love letter to the arts and a laugh-out-loud romp. Watch it HERE

Draped in matching ’90s-style black leather outfits, Choppa and 41 channel old-school R&B energy, complete with gyrating choreography and smoldering stares at the camera. Meanwhile, the conductor struggles to keep his composure (and the orchestra on beat) as explicit lyrics clash with classical instrumentation. It’s the type of chaos you can’t look away from.

The original “Or What” has been a runaway success, amassing over 90 million streams and 13 million YouTube views while climbing the Billboard Hot 100 and earning the greatest gains at urban radio. Part of Choppa’s critically acclaimed Slut SZN project, the single solidifies his standing as one of today’s most versatile and boundary-pushing artists.

This year, NLE Choppa has been on an unstoppable streak. He recently celebrated 12 new RIAA-certified Gold and Platinum plaques, bringing his career total to a staggering 24 plaques. Check out event photos from his recent plaque presentation at Warner Records HERE. With over 9 billion global streams to date, the Memphis native continues to tour worldwide, including a buzz-worthy performance at Rolling Loud Thailand and is gearing up for even more music and surprises over the holidays.

Choppa’s resume doesn’t stop at music. He’s also flexed his comedic chops as the co-writer, co-director, and star of NLE Choppa Presents: The Wash, a modern, laugh-out-loud reimagining of the 2001 cult classic by Snoop Dogg & Dr. Dre. Featuring cameos from Lil Wayne, Sukihana, Ray Vaughn, and Lou Ratchet, the short film proves Choppa is as dynamic behind the camera as he is in front of it. Whether he’s breaking charts or breaking classical music conventions, NLE Choppa continues to show the world there’s nothing he can’t do. Keep an eye out for more music coming this holiday season—because Choppa isn’t slowing down anytime soon.

About French Montana:

Moroccan-born, Bronx-raised rapper, French Montana, is a 3x Grammy Award-nominated, Diamond-certified rapper, humanitarian influencer, and philanthropist, actively fighting for global healthcare efforts in Uganda as GLOBAL CITIZEN’s first-ever rap ambassador. Some artists blur genres, but French Montana blurs borders. His inimitable fusion of classic East Coast rhymes, wavy pop swagger, and international ambition elevated him to the forefront of the game on a global scale.

He quickly embraced the culture, became enthralled with it, and began releasing the Cocaine City series of DVDs in 2002. Montana released his platinum-certified debut studio album Excuse My French in 2013, which peaked at #1 on the Hip Hop and R&B album charts. His second studio album, Jungle Rules, in 2017 peaked at number 3 on the Billboard charts and also received platinum certification. 10x platinum and Diamond certified record “Unforgettable” (Featuring Swae Lee) was the lead single of this album sparking an international dance challenge, which led French to partner with Mama Hope and Global Citizen to improve one of their hospitals in Uganda.
