Mozzy, Kalan.FrFr & Rob49: It's three the hard way in a vixen-filled 'BBL' music video

I love baddies and no matter the vixen, each one needs a turn-up anthem so leave it up to Mozzy, Kalan.FrFr plus Rob49 to come through with a hard-hitting new tune like their ‘BBL’ single. The song goes hard but getting the music video treatment, too? Tough.

It’s vixen-filled and jaw-dropping action on display from start to finish. Completely tap in.

While they may hail from different cities on the Golden Coast, Mozzy and Kalan.Frfr is a pairing that has always seemed to pay off over the years. On Friday, December 20th, they are teaming up to drop a new collab album titled LUCKY HER. Following in the footsteps of fan favorite songs like "Whole 100" and "No Love," LUCKY HER combines Mozzy's hard-nosed storytelling with Kalan's melodic flexes and earworm hooks, resulting in a synthesis that combines R&B, rider music, and street rap into a synthesis that could only have come from the West Coast. The album will arrive with additional features from Skilla Baby and Shordie Shordie is available for pre-save HERE.

To kick off the rollout, they're hitting fans with the album's lead single titled "BBL." A propulsive banger with buzzing bass and twinkling keys, "BBL," short for "bad b*tches like," demonstrates what the two artists are willing to do for their loyal ladies, buying them jewels, courtside seats, first-class flights, and more: "She gets what she want because she play it right/Yellow white gold Rollie, call it day and night,"spits Mozzy. Mozzy and Kalan recruit New Orleans firebrand Rob49 to provide a dose of energy, as his aggressive delivery finds a new home over the West Coast beat. The music video features all three rappers, and a cameo appearance from India Love, who also graces the album’s cover.

Hailing from Sacramento's Oak Park neighborhood, Mozzy has built a reputation as one of the best street storytellers in today's rap game.  He has earned two GOLD certifications from the RIAA as a lead artist–"Excuse Me" and "Sleep Walkin"–and three more on his collaborations with Skylar Grey, Likybo, and $tupid Young. Mozzy earned mainstream recognition in 2018, when his song "Sleep Walkin"was featured in a pivotal scene in Ryan Coogler's Black Panther, and he earned a shout out from Kendrick Lamar in his Grammy Award acceptance speech. His street classic "Bladadah" placed #68 on Rolling Stone's list of the 100 Best West Coast Rap Songs of All Time. Earlier this year, Mozzy released his heartfelt album, Children Of The Slums, paying tribute to the lost souls of his home neighborhood and telling their stories.

Born and raised in South Central Los Angeles, Kalan.FrFr has brought a unique flavor to his city's rap scene, with his melodic flows and effortless hooks. A touted football recruit before he turned to music full-time, Kalan approaches his music with an athlete's mentality, and has developed an audience in the world of sports, particularly with his hit single "Scoring," featured on many NBA broadcasts. This year, Kalan has leaned into his Cali roots, releasing the 8-song project MAKE THE WEST GREAT AGAIN, featuring guest spots from his friends and fellow Angelenos YG and Ty Dolla $ign, plus G Herbo and Spooky Jay. In June, Kalan.FrFr performed as part of DJ Hed's set in Kendrick Lamar's notorious L.A. rap celebration, "The Pop Out: Ken & Friends," broadcast live on Amazon Prime, performing his local hit "Right Wit It" with G Perico. The summer also saw Kalan grace the BET Awards Pre-Show stage with another energetic set. Most recently, he recruited an L.A. all-star team to remix his project highlight "Everybody," including OhGeesy, BlueBucksClan, and 310babii.
