Danny Towers: The 'Hop Out The V!' is big flexing with the cameras rolling

Need a signature flex from rap artist Danny Towers? It’s way bigger than just a fire anthem like the ‘Hop Out The V!’ banger but getting a full-fledged music video, too? Extra tough.

Need a signature flex from rap artist Danny Towers? It’s way bigger than just a fire anthem like the ‘Hop Out The V!’ banger but getting a full-fledged music video, too? Extra tough.

It’s all eyes on Danny and what he’s cooking up these days. Kick back and tap in.

There’s a ton of talent coming out of Florida right now and I wanted to make sure that Danny Towers is on your radar for 2024. Kicking off the year with a bang, Danny just dropped his newest single “Hop Out The V” out now via EMPIRE. Driven by a menacing bassline, the track lays the perfect foundation for Danny to unleash his bone-rasp growl embodying the cold, calculated demeanor of an OG that can only come from experience as he continues to perfect his hustle: “With some hittas and they do that shit for me, real smackas they hoppin' out on fee.”

Directed by BennyFlash, the video for “Hop Out The V!” brings a raw film noir flair to the track, accentuating its perilous atmosphere with chilling scenes from the streets. The video opens with Danny posted in front of a black Mercedes coupe, with a masked menace in the back seat, patiently awaiting his orders. Soon, the comforting contrast of a couple cuddled up in bed turns sour as Danny’s acquaintance enters the scene to rob them. As the video progresses, Danny and his associate continue to wreak havoc across the city from the back seat of the Benz.

Danny took 2023 by storm by releasing his viral hit “Florida Water” featuring Luh Tyler & Ski Mask The Slump God, which earned praise from XXL, Stereogum, HotNewHipHop, and more. Peaking at #1 on TikTok’s trending chart, the track inspired a photo dump trend on TikTok, where creators drop the flyest selfies in their Photos app as the beat drops and Danny’s infectious hook, “Threw him in that water, I’m from Florida, but my wrist Cuban,” gives way to Luh Tyler’s croaking verse. Danny closed the year strong after a hot string of releases including releasing his album Safe House alongside longtime collaborator DJ Scheme plus headlining Spotify’s Most Necessary show in Miami last month.
