Band links with Sha Ek and DJ Swill B for the visual - and audio - treatment. Kick back and get lost in the turn up vibes.

Today, Newark rapper Bandmanrill unloads “Jiggy in Jersey,” a blistering new single featuring the Bronx’s Sha Ek. Laced with highwire flows, a pulsing Jersey Club soundscape, and iron-clad braggadocio, the new track only reinforces Bandman’s status as the frontrunner in fusing drill with intoxicating club beats. “Jiggy in Jersey” is accompanied by an equally energetic video.

Bandman kicks things off by letting loose quick-fire references to fallen homies and the lifestyle of a block star. "Free Nut, and it's long live D-Lo, rolling that dice, lil bitch that's C-Lo,” he raps over ambient synths and insistent percussion. “I’m the plug, lil’ bitch get a kilo.” For his part, Sha Ek pairs an energetic guttural delivery with scabrous gunplay, lacing the track with unabated bluster and outright menace.

“Jiggy in Jersey” is an adrenaline shot, and its video is just as exhilarating. For the visual, Bandman and Sha kick it at a basketball court as shots of them and their friends dancing flash across the screen. Occasionally, Bandman sits above the rim 2Pac style. Reckless, uninhibited, and fun, “Jiggy in Jersey” arrives just in time for the start of summer.

The track also reaffirms Bandman’s status as one of the East Coast’s most innovative newcomers. Combining impossibly precise flows with dynamic wordplay kinetic Jersey Club production, the 19-year-old’s singular style has already been resonating with listeners. His 2021 single “Heartbroken”—which combines emotional, nostalgic production with delirious flexes—has received an average of 140K streams per week for the last two months.

“Heartbroken,” along with equally electric offerings like “I Am Newark” and “Close Friends” have created multiple viral TikTok moments. The songs have led to over 300K monthly Spotify streams and a fan base that’s growing by the day. With the arrival of “Jiggy in Jersey,” Bandman’s audience is about to get a whole lot bigger.
