Well-known crypto punk rapper Spottie Wifi links up with Dipset’s Jim Jones on his newest visual “Buy The Dips.” The visual takes place in a futuristic environment with Spotty and Jim rapping around AI robots and large NFT projects around them.
Spottie is rapping on top of his NFT works as he raps about financial literacy in the cryptocurrency space. Spottie’s hook emphasizes that by rapping “Stick to the script, don't trip. I'mma teach ya how to flip. Buy the dip, Sell the rip. Turn a ETH into a whip. Spottie Pip independent, 5528 my pendant. If I spill it then I meant it, If I shill it we gone send it. We gone sweep sweep sweep the floor, We gone clean up, clean up aisle four, We gone get it, get it for the low, We gone get right and get some more.”
Jim Jones is a known supporter of the cryptocurrency space as he rapped about his profits from Bitcoin and Blockchains on his Gangsta Grillz album with DJ Drama and premiered the metaverse music video for “We Set The Trends” with Migos in 2022.
When asked about the track, Spottie replied “I originally wrote this song about the hustle of trading crypto and NFTs, and it's very biographical because that's really how I went from being broke and unemployed during COVID to surviving and now thriving in these turbulent times. Then, after I wrote most of the song, I met Jim Jones at an event where we spoke on a panel together, and he ended up hopping on the song and giving it his perspective and comparing hustling in the streets to hustling as a crypto flipper. Jim is one of my favorite artists.”
“Buy The Dips” is the lead single for his upcoming album, The King’s Alpha. The album will have some of his prior releases such as “All Time High”, featuring Bun B, “The King’s Alpha” featuring Snoop Dogg, and “Believers” featuring Bart Oatmeal (aka Baron Davis).

Fresh from his newest EP release Back In My Prime with HitMaka, Jim Jones is giving a status update to his fans about his personal life. “Status Update” is a three-minute walk-through of Jim’s personal life and feelings about certain situations. He reflects on his time with friends who are deceased and locked up.
Some notable lyrics are about his Dipset partners and give introspection into their relationship at the time the song was written. He raps, “I be in the streets, they be asking where Juelz at? I want to know the real reason he fell back… and it’s hard for me and Cam to see eye to eye, I love him I still hug him but when I see him, it’s “hi and bye”. It’s kind of crazy, I thought it was ride or die… next subject…”
The visual, directed by Shula the Don and Jones himself, has Jim out in the Bahamas clearing his head with beautiful views and interacting with people throughout the city. He can be seen having fun swimming with sharks in the ocean and enjoying himself at a music event.
Goldiie closes out “Status Update” with powerful vocals singing “Look how far we came now. Pray to God and find a way out, so used to all the pain now. It’s when you shine, that’s when it rains down…”. Jim and Goldiie express how there is plenty to be grateful for even in harsh times.

Today, UnitedMasters’ has released their second episode of their newest podcast series Mining Diamonds, featuring hosts Jim Jones, Nakia Booth and Beef Jones with guests Rashad Billal and Troy Millings of Earn Your Leisure. Financial Advisor Rashad Bilal and Educator Troy Millings, whose own podcast series Earn Your Leisure is described as a college business class mixed with pop culture, drop hints of wisdom and advice for young or emerging entrepreneurs and musicians.
On Black Culture:
“Hip-Hop needs to be its own race, right? We got the human race and then you got the hip-hop race? It’s effortless, it’s part of us. The way we articulate ourselves is how we articulate ourselves because of the race we come from, and that is the hip-hop race. You don’t know nothing else.” - Jim Jones
“I had to learn business but I didn’t have to learn culture because I am culture. That’s just something that you’re just born with. Like [Jim] said, it's effortless.” - Rashad Bilal
“Traditional business culture puts us, our culture, in a box to be like you need to come from these institutions, you need to wear theses suits, you need to have this on your resume, you need to have all these different things, these benchmarks in this community which we can’t achieve from ours because of the way we were set up. So having [Bilal and Millings] is like a business school.” - Beef Jones
On Education:
“That’s why our platform became so popular. For a long time people thought that education was only through school, but education is through a variety of different ways. You can get educated through podcasts, you can get educated through YouTube, you can get educated through social media. Technology has changed the whole entire landscape. You can get educated through music.” - Rashad Bilal
On Business:
“Your brand doesn’t depend on anything else but your brand to make that money, your brand to make that partnership… It starts with your brand. You’re not leveraging that to lose control, the only thing you leverage is to gain control.” - Jim Jones

Jones and his co-hosts dig deep discussing how Johnson got his start as an ambitious culinary student to launching a burgeoning food empire and what it took to start fund and scale. Wanted to share a few quotes from the episode in case you wanted to share:
Jones talking about learning from his financial mistakes: It's easy to get the money, it's harder to keep the money. […] I think I spent it all in one month when I got my first million.
Johnson on why he created an affordable, fast casual restaurant: When I started looking at the landscape of the black and brown communities, I started to see everything is either “finger lickin’ good," fried, McDonald’s, you know, big brands. But nobody that looks like us has food that they can actually feel good about after they eat it.
Johnson on a game-changing trip to Ghana: When I left [Ghana] it was like the ancestors gave me these marching orders to cook food of the diaspora - to look through the West African lens. I wasn't looking at food through a very eurocentric lens anymore which I was taught in school.

Jim Jones roasting Maino's gym grind fashion fit will make you crack up
In all honesty, there’s never been this much attention here at Attack The Culture on Jim Jones as we’ve seen in the past seven to ten days. It’s been pretty much every section, column and day. But we’ll keep it thugging because when you’re Capo and find yourself in pretty worthwhile situations, we’ve gotta cover. The latest instance? How about Jimmy playfully getting at Maino as they head into a workout?
