Forget just having hard beats in 2023, it’s all about the witty lyrics and cinematic flexing for Pi’erre Bourne. The hip-hop artist keeps the attention on his recently released Grails studio project by putting out his new ‘NY in June’ music video.

It’s all types of eye-catching and gives you a day in the life of PB during one of the hottest months of the year

GRAMMY Award winning producer/rapper and SossHouse CEO Pi'erre Bourne shares "NY In June," his brand new music video. The new video arrives as Pi'erre prepares to take the stage at The Hulu Theater at Madison Square Garden tonight, in support of Don Toliver.

Featuring Pi'erre's signature mix of cloudy synths, jaunty melodies, and thumping percussion, "NY In June" is a highlight song from his recent Grails EP. Spinning sugary melodies into aural cotton candy, "NY In June" is a infectious and charming come on, alternating a hypnotic chorus with some of Pi'erre's most outrageous punchlines: "I got h*es, I got models, I got h*es that's models/She give h***, she disappear, call it Sleepy Hollow."

Appropriately set in the Big Apple, the new video for "NY In June" perfectly captures the city's effervescent spring vibes. Moonlighting as an ice cream man with a beautiful, Palm Angels-clad assistant, Pi'erre whips around brownstone Brooklyn and Lower Manhattan, his wavy melodies acting as a siren song for the neighborhood children.

Released in April, the Grails EP collects a series of fan-favorite snippets and early Pi'erre tracks, each re-recorded with new vocals and given official release for the first time. Originally teased in 2019, "NY In June" was one of the EP's most anticipated releases, along with songs like "
IG," which originally emerged as a snippet in 2021 before its release in February, and "Honeyberry 2," which dates back to 2017 and finally had its DSP drop in March. Grails EP earned praise from ComplexRap Radar, The FADER, HotNewHipHop, and more, and is available everywhere via SossHouse/Interscope..

Pi'erre Bourne and TM88 bend minds in 'OMS'

Hitmakers Pi’erre Bourne and TM88 know how to craft some hard-hitting smashes. The duo unite their talents and deliver the visual treatment to their ‘OMS’ anthem. Fire production and trippy animation, there’s not much more you could need here.

Hitmakers Pi’erre Bourne and TM88 know how to craft some hard-hitting smashes. The duo unite their talents and deliver the visual treatment to their ‘OMS’ anthem. Fire production and trippy animation, there’s not much more you could need here.

Peep the official video details and watch away.

Today, TM88 and Pi'erre Bourne unleash a trippy animated video for “OMS,” the genre-dismantling opener of their critically acclaimed joint album, Yo!88 (out now via Capitol Records / Taylor Gang / Interscope Records / SossHouse). With its gleaming yet knocking production and earworm hooks, “OMS”finds the collaborators at the peak of their abilities, combining skills to create a futuristic trap masterpiece.

The song’s countless sonic and lyrical twists are captured in the hallucinogenic, Daniel Kelly-directed video, which presents a dizzying dystopia. The vintage, computer game-like animation brilliantly matches the surreality of TM88’s digital-leaning production and the thematic leaps of Pi’erre Bourne’s stream-of-consciousness bars.

Opening with a digitally rendered TM88 tossing and turning on a bed surrounded by towering stacks of burning cash, the video then jumps to the animated artist speeding on a dirt bike to escape from cop cars. He then returns to a mansion to play poker and cook up a new batch of beats, flames encircling him the entire time. It’s as if the video is saying, “When TM888 and Pi’erre Bourne link, everything is lit.”

Check out more details on what TM88 and Pi’erre Bourne have kept busy with over the past 12 months.

One of the chief architects of modern trap music, TM88 delivers his most forward-thinking production to date on “‘OMS.” The fascinating hybrid of quaking trap percussion, alien and 8-bit synths, and grinding guitar plays like a mash-up of spacey video game soundtracks and vintage Brick Squad hits. It’s the perfect score for Pi’erre Bourne, who flexes with abandon. “Yeah I'm Jeff Gordon behind the wheel / Feel important when you sign that deal,” Bourne spits in a melodic, auto-tuned flow.

GRAMMY®/NAACP nominated, TM88 helped define the vibrant aesthetic of contemporary trap music, producing multi-platinum hits like Lil Uzi Vert’s “XO TOUR Llif3” and Drake’s “Way 2 Sexy,” the Future and Young Thug-assisted record that hit No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100TM88’s most recent credits include producing two tracks off Future’s I Never Liked You album. Pi’erre Bourne first made his mark as a producer — crafting massive singles for Playboi Carti (“Magnolia”), topping the charts with Lil Uzi Vert (Eternal Atake), and becoming a GRAMMY® Award winner (Kanye West’s Jesus Is King) — while establishing himself as a successful rapper with lauded solo albums The Life of Pi’erre 4 and The Life of Pi’erre 5

The collaborators’ legacies are only expanding now that they’re officially linked. Yo!88 has been praised by fans and publications like Billboard, who wrote “[the album’s] timing couldn’t be more perfect.” The arrival of TM88 and Bourne’s mind-bending “OMS” video is a reminder to revisit one of 2021’s most boundary-breaking rap releases.

Today marks the release of Pi’erre Bourne’s joint video for “Couch” and “Drunk And Nasty ft. Sharc.” The vibrant visual directed by long-time collaborator Hidji Films, with the help of SossHouse, shows Pi’erre alternating between worlds that help boldly illustrate both tracks.
