NAV wraps up his 22 date Never Sleep Tour in his hometown of Toronto, Canada with a sold-out show at Scotiabank Arena. His last album, 2022’s Demons Protected by Angels, debuted at #1 on the Billboard R&B/Hip Hop and Rap Charts, his third straight album to achieve the top spots. Demons Protected by Angels, which was executive produced by NAV & Amir “Cash” Esmailian, featured Lil Uzi Vert, Travis Scott, Lil Baby, Future, Don Toliver, Lil Durk, Bryson Tiller, Babyface Ray, and Realest K with production from NAV, Wheezy, Pro Logic, Boi 1da, Money Musik, Tay Keith, BenjiCold, Rex Kudo and more. More recently NAV dropped a “Lately” from his upcoming project NAV 2. More info on that soon.

Tory Lanez’s ‘Sorry 4 What/LV Belt’ music video is action figure-packed
Lanez made sure to deliver an unforgettable visual for his new single. Instead of putting the attention on himself, Tory goes all-out with the action figure flexing.
A creator that has successfully paved a lane of his own both lyrically and visually, Grammy Award-nominated recording artist Tory Lanez follows the release of his new album, dropping an official video for “Sorry 4 What/ LV Belt.” The album peaked at #1 across all genres on the apple music charts in its first day of release and is expected to be the top Hip-Hop debut this week with a projected 23k sales.
The action figure role-playing visual is the third release off of Lanez’ Sorry 4 What album, which was released last week. It follows the “Why Did I” audio track as well as “It Doesn't Matter.” Not one to release lengthy albums, the multi-talented artist describes his newest project as a body of work whose extensive track list will leave listeners fully satisfied. Following the success of his 80’s themed album Alone At Prom, which he released last December, Sorry 4 What takes on a different sound, different narrative and different message. Featuring recording artists such as A Boogie wit da Hoodie and Yoko Gold, the Toronto native’s newest album is neither fully hip-hop or R&B, but offers listeners a mix of the two demonstrating Tory’s vocal riffs and unfiltered bars.
Wednesday night, the recording artist held an intimate listening event for the project in NYC. Supporters in attendance included Ty Dolla $ign, Dave East, A Boogie wit da Hoodie, Nav, Bobby Shmurda and more. Bringing forth a story-telling and personal album, Sorry 4 What is available now on all streaming platforms.

Drizzy looks like he can’t miss and wants nothing but competitive smoke. Baller alert, for real.
Haley Smalls reminds Toronto folks renting is winning in the 6
Balling on a budget? Look no further than R&B singer Haley Smalls putting together a hilarious TikTok video showing off the struggle is real for folks looking to secure a new home in her Toronto hometown.

Tory Lanez's 'CAP' is a vegan's nightmare
In all fairness, vegetarians will probably catch feelings too. Toronto’s own Tory Lanez is reloaded with big music not just dropping ‘CAP’ to the masses but following it up with the visual treatment.

The music video - directed by Justice and edited to Tory Lanez - hits different and has all types of subliminal messages riddled throughout from the butcher shop late night grind to the jury room flexing.

The Weeknd’s ‘Godfather’ costume is a masterpiece
Canadian crooner The Weekend is officially a genius with the makeup. The popular singer has come through with some mind-blowing footage of himself draped as none other than the legendary Don Vito Corleone.

The facial features are cringe but only because they’re super real-looking. You really feel like you’ve jumped into a time capsule with the late Marlon Brandon looking into the camera.
Weeknd has had some fun over the past few months going all-out with his 2020 ‘After Hours’ album promo and his music videos.
Drake Salutes J. Cole For Bodying His Own Song
So maybe #JCole didn’t kill #Drake on his own ‘ish but it sure feels close to it. By this point we’ve all heard Jermaine’s new #HeavensEP surprise record. If you haven’t - pause this video, open up a fresh tab because we don’t want to lose you, listen/watch and come back - we’ll wait. Great - all caught up?

Cole completely bodied Drake’s “Pipe Down” record and it’s almost not even fair. How in the world do you take such a sultry and chill Drizzy anthem and body it - how Cole, how? (Fast-forward the must-see video and millions of views.)
Turns out Drake is a big-big fan of this anthem. The 6 God plugged the banger going to his Instagram page and captioning, “Cole on smoke, smoke emoji, Heavens EP” A little insane Drake’s promo post received more views than J’s actual video, but we can talk about it later.
Is it only right Cole is back-back with audio fire? Drake’s Certified Lover Boy is doing big things, Kendrick Lamar’s final Top Dawg Entertainment album is on deck and while Cole put out his The Off-Season in May, it feels only right he drops some heat to keep up. He even raps about taking bronze behind Drizzy and K. Dot. More to come or is this a one and done?
