The new 'Diary of a Wimpy Kid: Rodrick Rules' trailer keeps pushing Disney+ ahead of its competition
Remember the days when Netflix ran the culture? Whether you’re Team Bugs Bunny or Winnie The Pooh, it’s clear Mickey Mouse’s massive streaming giant is leading the game forward and it continues to be true courtesy of its upcoming Diary of a Wimpy Kid: Rodrick Rules film.
While it’s only a trailer, the fact this is another Disney+ exclusive shows it’s more important to have a subscription to this service than any other - especially if you have a mini-me or two around these days.
Disney+ has released the trailer and key art for “Diary of a Wimpy Kid: Rodrick Rules,” an all-new animated movie based on the second book in Jeff Kinney’s wildly popular book series. The original song from the film, “Can You Smell Us Now,” written and produced by Jon Levine, with lyrics by Jeff Kinney, and performed by Jimmy Tatro, is also available. A spikey-haired high school student, Rodrick is lazy and undisciplined and spends way too much time practicing with his rock band, Löded Diper. While he loves to torment Greg, he ultimately has a deep affection for his younger brother.
