Vayda: The new 'Adele' music video will have you dropping your jaw

Need to lose your mind on a Friday? Just take a look at what music newcomer Vayda is serving up for the culture. She’s glowing up and making sure her anthems are well-taken like with what she has brewing courtesy of the new ‘Adele’ visual.

It’s a fire song but then adding the cinematic appeal? Tough. Peep the details and get caught up in the glowing.

Critically acclaimed Atlanta-based artist Vayda has just shared a new single “Adele”, along with an accompanying video. As a key woman at the forefront of the new mash-up of internet sounds, Vayda embraces the DIY sound, pulling from genres like Jersey club and dance/electronic to create a wave of groovy, forward-thinking music that has already been championed by the likes of GRAMMY.com, The FADER, Pitchfork, AJC and Passion of the Weiss.

With the majority of her songs clocking in well under two minutes, Vaydacombines various elements of internet subgenres to create a sound that is free of regionality and instead embraces the chaotic, mash-up culture of the ever-changing music world. Backed by consistently lush production that usually comes complete with bouncy drums or ethereal synthlines, Vayda raps with an easy-flowing demeanor, diving into her most intimate thoughts with quirky wordplay – her new single “Adele” is no exception.

Over the bouncy drum pattern and chopped-up vocal sample, Vayda flexes her adaptable flows and fluid wordplay in a single stream-of-consciousness verse – “I made some money, just off of being myself / Always knew I would have wealth / Got no respect, these hoes gon’ smile in your face and feel like they losing theyself”, she raps through a cheeky yet authoritative cadence.

To kick off 2023, Vayda dropped her danceable
shade EP and has kept her foot on the gas with other short releases like “Sprite” (feat. Noah Salem), “TWEAKER” and her dawnEP. As the trends of sped-up tracks are becoming more and more prevalent across the music industry, Vayda is right at home among internet experimentations and genre-pushing sounds that she’s been honing in since the start of her career. As she continues to contribute to her impressive string of singles and EPs, the new release of “Adele” marks a continuation of Vayda’s sound as she pushes the boundaries of genre and embraces the DIY ethos, creating her own distinct sound in the process. Vayda will also be opening for Veeze on select sold-out dates in LA, Houston and other major cities on his Ganger Tour.
