50 Cent's 'Surviving El Chapo: The Twins Who Brought Down a Drug Lord' has its official debut date

New York rapper 50 Cent really knows it’s deeper than rap and keeps proving it with his endless endeavors from what he’s doing on STARZ to now putting a chokehold onto the podcast world with his new ‘Surviving El Chapo: The Twins Who Brought Down a Drug Lord.’

50 Cent’s El Chapo podcast is ready for the world

Just in time for the fall goals, Fifty and Lionsgate Sound have teamed with G-Unit Audio and iHeartPodcasts for their new podcast. The real-life story on the twins responsible for taking down notorious crime poss El Chapo is set to stream October 19 on the iHeartRadio app and looks to go all out on a never-before-told story.

After two successful prison escapes and three arrests, Joaquín "El Chapo" Guzmán is finally behind bars in the United States. But it wasn’t easy to finally capture the most prolific and dangerous drug lord. In the end, it took twin brothers from Chicago to bring down the powerful Cartel dealer – and they’ll pay for it for the rest of their lives. Produced by Lionsgate Sound and Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson’s G-Unit Audio in collaboration with iHeartPodcasts, “Surviving El Chapo: The Twins Who Brought Down a Drug Lord” dives into the incredible story of the Flores brothers.

Speaking publicly for the first time ever with co-hosts Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson and investigative journalist Charlie Webster, Chicago-born identical twins Jay and Peter Flores let listeners into how they went from dealing $2 billion worth of drugs across the country as North America’s most successful cocaine traffickers to government informants who brought down the infamous drug lord, “El Chapo.”

Forever taunted by the gnawing question of “Did we do the right thing?” the brothers’ decision has cost them permanent exile from each other, their father’s life, 14 years in prison and a life sentence of always looking over their shoulder, waiting for their enemies to take revenge. Was it all worth it?
