Andrew Watt's winning big right now but U.O.E.N.O

Some of the music industry’s biggest names ranging from Young Thug and Elton John to pop rocker Ed Sheeran are getting all the praise these days but it’s largely thanks to massive efforts from hitmaker Andrew Watt. The producer has stayed on the low-key scene putting together some of the biggest projects of the past 12 months.

Andrew Watt’s winning big right now

In just the past few weeks, Watt is credited having his signature touch on Thugger’s new chart-topping Punk album

Critically acclaimed, Grammy award-winning music producer Andrew Watt continues to solidify his place as one of the music industry’s top hit-makers, with the release of Young Thug’s Punk, which this week took the top spot on Billboard’s Top 200 Album Chart. Watt co-produced and co-wrote two tracks on the album, “Hate The Game” and “Fifth Day Dead,” which come on the heels of what has been an extraordinary Fall for the multi-platinum producer, songwriter and musician.

It’s way deeper than rap

Don’t confuse Watt as just sticking to the hip-hop game. He’s also responsible for adding his sound to both Elton John and Ed Sheeran’s latest albums.

In August, Eddie Vedder unveiled the Watt produced track “Tender Mercies,” from The Flag Day film soundtrack, and in September he released “The Long Way,” the first single off Vedder’s forthcoming solo album Earthling, also produced by Watt. Following was Elton John’s long awaited studio opus The Lockdown Sessions, for which Watt produced and co-wrote six new tracks including; “Finish Line” (featuring Elton John and Stevie Wonder), “Simple Things” (featuring Elton John and Brandi Carlile), “Stolen Car” (featuring Elton John and Stevie Nicks), “Nothing Else Matters” (featuring Miley Cyrus, WATT, Elton John, Yo-Yo Ma, Chad Smith and and Robert Trujillo), “E Ticket” (featuring Elton john and Eddie Vedder), and “Always Love You” (featuring Elton John, Young Thug and Nicki Minaj). Today, Ed Sheeran released his highly anticipated new album = which features the song “2 Step” co-written and co-produced by Watt.

Young Thug really bodied everyone with ‘Punk’

After a hard-fought 7 days, Thugger earned the right to major bragging. His newest studio LP is already his second chart-topping project in the same year.

In an unstoppable run this year, Young Thug earns his second #1 album of 2021 as PUNK debuts at the top of the Billboard 200 Albums ChartPUNK, released via Young Stoner Life/300 Entertainment, is Thug’s second album release of the year, following his and Young Stoner Life Records’ compilation album Slime Language 2which also debuted at #1 on the Billboard 200 in April 2021. PUNK is also Thug’s third #1 album, following Slime Language 2 and 2019’s So Much Fun,

Kevin Liles is big proud of Young Thug’s achievement

300 Entertainment CEO Kevin Liles knows how much of an achievement this is for both YT and the label. He dished on Thugger’s latest career achievement.

“Artist development and evolution are the biggest forms of currency in the sustainability and relevancy of an artist in the entertainment industry. Young Thug’s undeniable dedication, vision, and relentless work ethic are unmatched and show how much he has doubled down on his artistry. I’m proud of Young Thug for not only checking the boxes, but creating his own space outside of the box. Though we have been by Young Thug’s side for eight years, his two number one albums in one year is only the beginning of his story.”
