Baby Stone Gorillas go complete adult swim mode with 'Y'all Know Who Did That'

Do you want to know one of my favorite things about Attack The Culture? How about the fact you can get put onto new music and trends while also getting your full-blown mainstream coverage, too? Turns out there’s some serious heat coming out courtesy of the Los Angeles crew Baby Stone Gorillas and their new ‘Y’All Know Who Did That.’

Baby Stone Gorillas are really delivering for the culture

The crew have come through with their newest visual and it’s slapping. Is it the fire tune or the cartoon vibes? Either way, it’s all must-see and hear.

Coming straight from the Baldwin Village jungles with an endless arsenal of bars, Baby Stone Gorillas bring a whole new meaning to “gorilla” warfare. Returning to deploy the latest video from their recent mixtape, The Military, the LA rap quartet shares “Y’all Know Who Did That.” The standout track finds 5Much, Top5ivee, EKillaOffDaBlocck, and P4K plotting how to leave their mark on the enemy over a sinister instrumental as they assert their status: “You a lil pup, get your rank up, I’m a big dog,” raps 5Much.

The video for “Y’all Know Who Did That,” which follows recent clips for the singles, “WOP” and “Block Benders,” takes viewers on a whimsically animated journey into the mixtape’s militaristic world of tanks, choppers, and humvees. The scene surrounding the crew depicts the aftermath rather than the action, as the desert floor is littered with crashed vehicles and spent artillery. As the video progresses, it becomes no more clear what happened there, but there’s no question as to who did it.

Released earlier this month, The Military refines the group's hard-hitting West Coast sound, its glossy textures, funk-forward rhythms, and boosted bass adding emphasis to quartet’s raw lyricism. The Gorillas shoulder the tape’s full 23 song trackload without outside features–allowing plenty of opportunity for each of the four rappers to show off their distinct styles. The mixtape is home to new highlights like mischievous, piano-led "Slide On Em," the provocative and infectious "We Love Opp Hoes," and the luscious "Koldest Addiction." With production from West Coast mainstays like RonRonTheProducer, Juneonnabeat, and more, The Military is available everywhere via Park Money Records / EMPIRE.
