It’s starting to feel like 2002 all over again. New York rap crew Dipset are back making headlines courtesy of a huge collaboration between themselves and luxury accessories brand B.B. Simon for an epic capsule collection centered on belts.
Dipset’s official signature belt launch is here
It’s more than just witty bars and signature production for the Diplomats in 2023. The crew have linked with B.B. Simon to deliver an official capsule collection from the true day ones.
Luxurious accessories brand B.B. Simon made its official debut at ComplexCon and unveiled a special capsule collection with the iconic American hip-hop collective, The Diplomats. To celebrate the release, Jim Jones, Juelz Santana and Freekey Zekey of the rap group had a meet and greet with fans at B.B. Simon's official booth. Rapper Luh Tyler also stopped by to meet Simon and to get some belts.
The limited-edition capsule collection encompasses three DIPSET branded belts, each crystallized with vibrant pink and red crystals, accentuating the red and black crocodile strap, and the striking pink pony fur strap. Additionally, the collection boasts hoodies and tees designed by Kool Kiy.

This collaboration pays homage to The Diplomats, the Harlem-based rap group that played a pivotal role in popularizing B.B. Simon belts during the late '90s and early 2000s. Their influential style not only defined an era but also contributed significantly to establishing B.B. Simon belts as an iconic fashion accessory in the vibrant landscape of New York City.
On Saturday, B.B. Simon and the Avianne and Co. jewelers also revealed the “most expensive belt in the world” with 119 GIA Certified VS1 F color diamonds on a Trojan buckle crafted in 14K white gold. The belt will be on sale at around $600-700K.
B.B. Simon has been a fixture in hip hop and fashion culture for years, with many respected artists such as Jack Harlow, the Migos, Max B, Lil Wayne, Ice Spice, Lil Nas X, Post Malone and more sporting their belts. Each bag and belt is handmade in B.B. Simon's factory in Irvine, California, with all crystals hand-set one by one, ensuring quality and uniqueness in each piece.
