Sometimes you just need a spark to your work week, right? Turns out Detroit rapper Doe Boy has you covered during all seasons but with the temps dropping, why not get your fall burning hot courtesy of the new ‘Ain’t Bout Nun’ anthem? Say less.
Doe Boy’s new ‘AIn’t Bout Nun’ single goes hard
From the stellar Tay Keith production to the signature ‘Oh Really’ and bars you’ve become accustomed to with Doe Boy, the new tune is audio flames.
Continuing a prolific hot streak this year, critically acclaimed Cleveland hip-hop phenomenon Doe Boy returns with an incendiary new single entitled “AIN’T BOUT NUN” out today via Freebandz/Epic Records.
GRAMMY® Award-nominated powerhouse producer Tay Keith [Drake, Travis Scott] cooked up the track, layering cinematic strings over an 808 smack. Doe Boy tears into the beat with force and fire, culminating on a chantable chorus laced with a warning, “My ice on, you ain’t gonna touch it, ain’t bout nun.” Meanwhile, he asks, “Who talking about something? Ain’t bout nun.”
It arrives on the heels of his recent single, “Smack Sh*t” (with Skilla Baby). The latter continues to gain traction with north of 654.5k Spotify streams, while the music video has tallied over 462k views alone. It also reeled-in critical acclaim from tastemakers such as HipHopDX and ATTACK THE CULTURE who christened it “a big anthem.” Meanwhile, VIBE hailed, “Someone can try them if they want to, but it likely wouldn’t end well. This is the anthem for their menacing activities.”
It continues a prolific season for Doe Boy. His 2023 album, BEEZY, has generated over 10 million total streams powered up by the likes of “KARDASHIANS” (feat. Lil Yachty & Luh Tyler), which has gathered over 1.1 million Spotify streams. XXL plugged it, while REVOLT noted, “Doe Boy blessed the masses with his latest project, BEEZY.” HotNewHipHop promised, “fans can enjoy the impressive tracks the album has to offer.”
Giving back to the community, Doe Boy participated in Cleveland’s Back to School Drive at the Cleveland Browns Stadium in September. The drive was hosted by the Myles Garrett Foundation, Klutch Sports, the Cleveland Browns, and the Cleveland Cavaliers.
Last year, Doe Boy continued his rapid rise with the CATCH ME IF YOU CAN EP. It tallied over 10 million streams and earned critical plugs from the likes of Complex and RapRadar who noted, “Doe Boy is hard to kill.” Rap Radar added, “Freebandz artist Doe Boy’s name rings off on his brand new album, Beezy.”
