Dryboy: The rock out vibes are alive in the 'Highway to Pain' music video

Need a reason to move around? Look no further than what Dryboy’s cooking up these days courtesy of ‘Highway to Pain’ and this new music video glow.

Dryboy’s ‘Highway to Pain’ music video rocks out

The hard-hitting song goes - er - hard but getting a music video too? Super exciting for the music rocker.

Rostrum Records’ recent signee Dryboy returns today with the cinematic official music video accompaniment to his bitter-sweet pop punk anthem ‘Highway To Pain.’

Shot and directed by Chris Vergara, the video opens amidst the clouds and quickly plummets into a CGI Los Angeles backdrop and Dryboy’s curtain-drawn home. With an angry ex just outside, the crimson-haired, Diesel-clad artist rifles through tattered road maps, singing “Run away and grab my keys, but I hope that you don’t follow me.”  With a duffel bag in hand, Dryboy makes his great escape on the ‘Highway to Pain.’ A road movie punctuated with glorious shots of Half Dome, Dryboy snakes through fishing towns and remote lakes, finding solitary comfort in the process.

Describing his music as “hopelessly romantic”, Dryboy writes intimate tales of relationships, drawing on the experiences of the people in his life as well as his own. He says of ‘Highway To Pain’, “I think we’re all guilty of bottling things up when times are tough, we don’t want our loved ones to know or worry but there’s ways to let it out in our craft, our art. These emotions shape our lives and we should be proud of the experiences that break & make us…hard times pass and friends help with that.”

2024 is already off to a strong start for Dryboy - his poignant songwriting and powerful melodic ability earned him a singing to legendary booking agency Primary Talent International, where he will be represented by Sally Dunstone (Cookiee Kawaii, Jack Harlow, MadeinTYO, Rina Sawayama).

Dryboy is an artist hailing from Chicago and now based in LA, who has carved a niche for himself in the music scene by weaving a captivating, enigmatic sound infused with elements of pop, rock, and alternative hip-hop. The fast-rising talent first hit the scene with his hit single “Summer Nights'' featuring Clever, which has now amassed over 9 million streams on Spotify.

With an impressive track record that includes opening for prominent artists such as Lil Durk, YBN Nahmir, G Herbo, and Calboy, Dryboy's star is on the ascent.

‘Highway To Pain’ follows the release of thrilling single ‘Blood on the Floor’, where Dryboy again demonstrates his innate ability to turn heartache into artistry. Both singles will be featured on his highly anticipated upcoming debut EP, which will be dropping in the coming months.
