Growing up & seeing the challenges of being a parent and knowing you had it 10x harder than I do, makes me have a deeper appreciation for you & for all the moms all over the world. I’m a Mama’s Boy by default cuz that’s all I ever had, but I’m fine wit that.. 🖤
Single Black Mom who raised 1 girl & 2 boys in a environment that swallows its youth & takes them, changes them & even corrupts them.. The streets in the late 80s & 90s was vicious but you was with us & did all you could to keep us whole. Grateful for everyday you are here with me & all that we’ve been able to share as mother & son.
