The latest project from Mikey comes stacked with nearly 20 songs. With a couple collaborations snuck onto the album, Polo goes all in with the majority of the project featuring just him doing what he does best.

Emo hip hop artist Mikey Polo released a new album, EMO or DIE 2. The indie talent dropped the fifteen-track project through the record label he founded, Emo Gang Records. Several songs showcase the uninhibited rapper's ability to spit lyrics atop distinct alternative beats. Mikey Polo [@officialmikeypolo] taps into a dark fantasy to evoke an intensely passionate vibe.

EMO or DIE 2 features DMV area rapper KA$HDAMI [@kashdami] on two tracks, including "Tortoise," which is a play on the character and nature of the animal of the same name, and ironically melodic "Demons." The album also has a remix of the song "Red" with Atlanta-based artist Slimesito [@slimesito].

The emotionally charged sound Mikey Polo creates is uniquely positioned between alternative music and hip hop. His music influences include Lil Wayne, Bone Thugs, and Gucci Mane. He stands out with his curative process, and, by default, stylistically, the outcome is a subgenre of its own known as emo trap. He produces beats and works well with other producers to develop an original body of work.
