Need headsets for the Steam Deck? It's always SteelSeries for the win
Granted - this ‘should’ be in the Previews, Reviews + More column of Attack The Culture but because I am absolutely obsessed with the SteelSeries headsets - notably the Arctis 7+, I am going to go all-out and highlight just how amazing this life-changing - yup, I said it - headset really is.
At this point, we’ve all see the hype is real regarding the Steam Deck. Officially launched at the end of February, the gaming device does it all from even connecting to the Xbox Game Pass perks to giving you the Steam gaming goals you’ve come to embrace on your PC but - finally - in a mobile and handheld setting.
Needless to say, whether you’re traveling or just want to kick back at home really losing yourself in the gaming, there’s nothing better than having the ‘best’ - and I do mean ‘best’ - in headset gaming. While the crown holder used to be Turtle Beach, what SteelSeries delivers in quality, professionalism and simply luxury headsets goes unmatched. If Turtle Beach is BMW - and trust, I drive an X3 so I am very loyal to the Beamer lifestyle - the SteelSeries is a Tesla. Hence, look no further than the SteelSeries Artcis 7+ on the SteamDeck.
The match is way more than heavenly. Check out the breakdown below on what might be the best go-to for your SteamDeck device - while I highly co-sign the Arctis 7+ based on my gaming with it for the PlayStation 5, it really is to each’s own.
The Arctis 7+
If you’re looking for an amazing-sounding high-end wireless experience, look no further than the SteelSeries Arctis 7+. With a 30 hour battery life, it’ll outlast the battery on your Steam Deck… Then you can put the extra juice to use on your PC, PS4, PS5, Android device, Nintendo Switch, or Oculus Quest 2. Plus if you forgot to charge it, a short 15 minute charge will give you over 3 hours of play time!
The Arctis Prime
For a more affordable wired option, where battery life is no longer a factor, consider the Arctis Prime headset. These have the exact same drivers and sound performance of SteelSeries’ more premium-priced headsets, so if you’re willing to work with a wire.. It’s an absolute bargain.
Additional SteelSeries Options
In addition to the Arctis 7+ and Arctis Prime, here’s a complete list of compatible headsets for the Steam Deck. From our testing, the best experience is with products that have either our USB-C dongle or the 3.5mm jack.
