On the heels of his critically acclaimed, chart-topping album MUSIC debuting at #1, Playboi Carti releases the deluxe version of the album, MUSIC - SORRY 4 DA WAIT, which includes four new tracks for fans “DIFFERENT DAY,” “2024,” “BACKROOMS,” “FOMDJ.” Listen HERE.
Earlier this week Carti officially secured his second #1 album on the Billboard 200 Chart with his critically acclaimed new album MUSIC which sold 298,000 album equivalents in the US- listen here. With 756 million streams worldwide, amassing 283k streaming equivalents, this is the 9th highest rap album charting debut of all time.
The album received 139 million first day streams on Spotify, the highest debut of 2025 so far, and the seventh highest first day debut of all time. “EVIL J0RDAN” also debuts at #2 on the Billboard Hot 100, with “RATHER LIE” at #4, his first time to have two songs inside the Top 10 of the chart simultaneously.
All 30 tracks from the album have officially debuted on the Billboard Hot 100, making Carti the first rapper in history to chart 30 or more songs on the chart, joining Taylor Swift and Morgan Wallen as only the third artist in history to ever achieve this incredible feat. He currently holds 31 of the 100 songs on the chart as his collaboration “Timeless” with The Weeknd continues to stay on the Hot 100 this week.
Internationally, the album also debuts at #1 in several markets including the UK, Australia, Canada, New Zealand, Switzerland, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Denmark and Austria. MUSIC also debuted at #2 in Poland with all 30 tracks in the top 200, the best result in history of the Polish Top 200 chart. The album was streamed 18.9 million times, which is the second best streaming week ever for an artist in Poland. Four of the album’s tracks debuted inside the Top 10 with “EVIL J0RDAN” at #1.
With MUSIC, Carti has outsold his sophomore studio album, Whole Lotta Red, selling nearly 300K units within the first week of release. The album has now become the second highest Spotify debut of all time amongst Hip-Hop albums, debuting at #1 on the US Apple Music chart and all 30 tracks charted on the US Apple Music Top 50 less than 24 hours after release.

The five highest global song debuts of 2025 so far on Spotify all come from MUSIC: “EVIL J0RDAN”, “CRUSH”, “RATHER LIE”, “POP OUT”, and “MOJO JOJO,” with “EVIL J0RDAN” debuting #1 on the Spotify US chart, Apple Music US chart, and Apple Music Global chart upon its release.
MUSIC is Carti’s third album to hit the top of the Billboard 200, following 2020’s Whole Lotta Red and 2018’s Die Lit, which debuted at #1 and #3 on the chart, respectively. This is his fourth studio album since he debuted with his eponymous album, Playboi Carti in 2017.
