19-year-old Atlanta-based rapper Raq baby has just shared his heavily-anticipated new single "Crashed on Camera" — out now via Alamo Records along with an accompanying music video. Set against a backdrop of cosmic synths, "Crashed on Camera" is an ethereal outing that finds Raq baby coasting between raw vulnerability and flashy bravado with polish. With the song already sitting at over 1K sound creates on TikTok before it's even dropped, the demand for the track reached a fever pitch after the rapper teased an unreleased snippet last year, which now marks his second single of 2025 following January's "Check Fox 5".
Originally hailing from Chicago's South Side, Raq baby grew up in Atlanta and has steadily built a hyper-online following for his melodic, drill-inspired take on trap. He first exploded onto the scene in 2023 with viral hit "Soldier Love" (13M+ Streams), and after turning heads with projects like Abstruse, November 2024 saw him release his breakthrough mixtape Spill Season, which peaked at #15 on Apple Music's All Genre Albums Chartand currently boasts over 40 million streams to date. The rapper has also earned major co-signs along the way, with collabs with YTB Fatt ("3am"), VonOff1700 ("Daytona"), and Jdot Breezy ("Green Goblin") already under his belt. Now with "Crashed on Camera", Raq baby is setting the stage for his next act as he prepares to release the follow-up to Spill Season later this year.
