SteelSeries: The newly launched Arctis Nova 5 and its game-changing Arctis Companion App are your summer takeovers
Technically? It’s still hardcore spring goals but the inevitable is near - summertime flexing and what better way to get a jump on your non-stop travel - or work grind - duties than embracing a fire, game-changing and - um, AFFORDABLE (big caps, not big cap) SteelSeries Arctis Nova 5 launch? Oh, well add in the Arctis Companion App with it and you have a back-to-back lifestyle win.
SteelSeries does more than just deliver with the Arctis Nova 5 headset and Companion App
I’m not going to lie - I have the luxury of checking out fire products on a regular basis and there’s just something a little extra special when my gang-gang over at SteelSeries reaches out. You know, it’s the same flex you get when it comes to that ‘one’ fit you rock for back to school, a first date or a big event. SteelSeries is the golden wrapper in Willy Wonka and the mysterious gold glow in Pulp Fiction and being a part of the Arctis Nova 5 celebration? Well, heck, I can’t help but lose my freaking mind.
Not name-dropping anyone but my goodness, when you have such a belief in your brand and go the extra mile with a review set like this ^ and you know Attack The Culture is going to lose it? Well, my goodness - you know how to get into my warm and fuzzy good side. Opening up this review set, I really went ‘Sicko Mode’ and geeked out from letting loose with the KontrolFreek thumbsticks on my PlayStation 5 controllers and then loading up the Arctis Nova 5P? Holy smokes.
^ Okay, a massive salute to Bear from SteelSeries - it’s way easier to go with his unboxing than my screaming at the top of my lungs in excitement - so embrace the clean and calm, notably, presentation. No matter your preference - PlayStation 5, Xbox or PC - the SteelSeries Nova 5 has you covered.
The headset is a work of art and keeps the signature feel and overall presentation of the Arctis Nova headset thriving - completely shifting into a now-flagship style of headset for SteelSeries giving both comfort and durability some extreme attention at the affordable price of $1 million $129.99. You know what? This might be the best time and moment to highlight all of the awesome features you get out of the box:
100+ game audio presets for optimal sound in top games with the Arctis Nova 5 Companion App
60-hour battery life to play all week long, with USB-C Fast Charge
Quick-Switch Wireless to toggle between 2.4GHz and Bluetooth with the press of one button
Neodymium Magnetic Drivers produce crystal clear highs, pinpoint mids, and deep bass
ClearCast 2.X microphone with a new high-bandwidth chipset
Cross-Platform Gaming with a handy USB-C dongle for PC, PlayStation, Switch, Mac, VR, handhelds, and mobile devices
I mean, 60 freaking hours? I can’t confirm being on a trip out to Venice this past holiday weekend, the headset needed only one charge and held me down for a full five nights and a flight back to New Jersey without ever fearing being low on my charge - and keep in mind this included morning Bluetooth typing and nightly 30-45 minute gaming sessions from my hotel room. Insane.
I have to give some major props to the SteelSeries team because they have always encouraged the value in going to the SteelSeries site and downloading software to make all of its gadgets go the extra mile from audio settings to adjusting microphone levels - but this new Companion App launched with the SteelSeries Arctis Nova 5? Holy smokes.
Listen, as much as I can suggest and encourage you fellow Attackers to check out the new awesomeness from SteelSeries, it’s always going to come down to your overall interest and of course budget so trust me when I say at $129.99, you’re looking at a headset down for the long haul. Speaking as a diehard Apple fanatic who always travels with my AirPods Max and AirPods no matter the destination, they literally ended up being dead weight on my Venice trip - not getting used a single time and completely making me realize I can save the headache of balancing my lugging of extra gear all in the power of the Arctis Nova 5.
Being able to work from my iPhone, too, with the gaming features whether I’m gaming on Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III or want to explore my sports goals in EA Sports’FC 24 - I’m good to go with preset settings to enhance my gaming goals.
And if you needed even more reassurance from the gaming community? Say less.
Summer is coming - inevitably - and if you’re like me, well, keeping it 100? Just legit blessed mom with my Blue AirPods Max headset and going all in on the SteelSeries Arctis Nova 5 - I just can’t ignore the 60 hours of power and ability to switch from gaming goals to Bluetooth flexing at the touch of a button. Hands down a game and life-changer.
